He has everything. I dont know what else to tell you. That is why im on here asking for advice because I am so confused. My entire class basically has applied and most of them have responses. I am still waiting and I am one of the last people in our engineering pool to hear back yet.
Ahhhh, if he was just admitted last week, chances are high he was offered a pathway-TEAB, Galveston or McAllen. If he was indeed accepted into Engineering, he will not do well…Corps plus lack of math readiness = disaster.
Did he submit test scores?

My BIMS daughter got the “Log into AIS” change today too. Just waiting to see what she gets.
Considering he scored a 960 on sat and didn’t take act I’m guessing not but I’m in class with him anymore
He wasn’t though……he gets to go on the main campus as long as he completes 5 hours of summer school where i believe he is going to take classes to help him. I don’t really know what that is about but a couple other students also got that

Ahhh! That’s Gateway. A summer pathway.
He is NOT Engineering. He will enter as General Studies major, then take pre-reqs to change majors after a few semesters. And he won’t be Engineering either.

He just doesn’t understand the engineering component not being a part of gateway. He will work with advisor to find the right degree plan.

As others have said, he got Gateway and Gateway will NOT get him into engineering. And it is a blessing that he will not get engineering. With no calculus and an extremely low SAT score, going into engineering would be a complete disaster for him at this juncture.

I will admit that it is disheartening that despite more qualifications, I am still in confusion about my decision

@TigerGirl06 honestly don’t understand your situation either…except you have too many DC for TEAM or Gateway.

My guess would most likely be waitlist, straight rejection, or opportunity major at this point.
What does still in the running mean?
Does anyone know about how long after submitting the TAMUG application you get access to sign into the new Howdy? My son used a different email address on that application, and he has only received an email from Apply Texas that it has been sent.
We used the same email address for both applications and can access both in the same Howdy login. My daughter has the same UIN and can just toggle between her applications within Howdy. Maybe if you reach out to TAMUG Admissions they can reset the email address. I had a separate issue on my daughter’s account and this gentleman said I could email him to resolve it. He might be able to help, as well, or point you to someone who can.

I sure hope that is not true! I think it’s safe to say they may need to hire more Admissions Officers! In all fairness they have a lot of applications to review and then determine which of the various programs is a good match for the student. This has been a tough wait though!
Yeah but keep in mind people can call and talk to different admissions people and get different answers. And if you picked waitlist, it’s entirely possible to go to the end of March before hearing something.
