I’m sure admissions had to say “by the end of March” but that doesn’t mean all decision will go out on March 31. I’m sure there will be a steady flow from now til then.
So trying to be positive and look into housing options since campus will be full most likely. Any suggestions on places?
@texag97 PLENTY of off campus housing, over saturation. DO NOT put down a deposit/sign a lease anywhere until you have gotten acceptance AND student is 110% sure they’ll be attending school in College Station. There is ZERO chance at getting out of a 12 month lease.
@MMel was this a student worker or adult? Did you speak to them, or heard it via 3rd party?
You can call Admission 5 times in a row, and get 5 different answers.
They also won’t fill majors, just to fill. Student still has to meet their admissions requirements.
I’m not sure if she was a student or not. All I can say is she sounded more knowledgeable than others I have spoken with. Maybe we can average all of the dates we get from different AO’s for a better target date😆
Does this go for the applicants that chose TEAM only as well?
Also what do you mean by waitlist is more of a pool than a numbered list?
The AO said everyone who received 3 options should have a decision by mid/late March. That could change of course. Someone else heard end of April so I wanted others to hear that April is not necessarily correct.
As far as waitlist all I can say is that she described it as a pool and not a list with a number 1 at the top. She didn’t say who gets chosen from the waitlist group. If anyone else knows it would be great information!
I wish they would release semi official updates periodically.
Okay, that was funny. Don’t forget all of the ones that said “Decisions by 2/11!”
Did the AO say anything about students who chose TEAM only? Are they in a pool of some sort? Are they being ranked/compared again? Does the date/time of response have any effect? Ugh. I’m getting worn out waiting!! I can’t imagine what my daughter is going through!!
I’m hoping last year’s 2/15 date is something significant to A&M and we’ll wake up to some news in the morning.
I recognize that plenty of others are wishing that they were in the “options bucket” but this is certainly agonizing.
The AO didn’t seem to want to distinguish between the two groups.
S24 got PSA about an hour ago for Engg. This ends our TAMU journey. Thanks to everyone, specially @FriscoDad, @Christi1993, @52AG82 for the education on TAMU admissions. Good luck to everyone waiting to hear back!
Does anyone know how long it takes when Manage Application says Log into AIS for decisions for the decision to be there (change major tab is gone)? Its been over a day and still says Application in Review. Does this mean PSA for sure?
Just a theory…do you think maybe the delay in Team Blinn notifications is due to them working through all the engineering applicants (who applied by the early action deadline) to meet the mid-February deadline admissions has set for themselves? With a higher # of overall applicants, that would drag it out longer. I’m saying this with zero knowledge of the process. LOL. This is my last kiddo. Older one got PSA so decided to go to Oklahoma State instead.
For us, we saw the “login in to AIS for decision” at 11am, then the NEXT day at 4:15pm it showed PSA.
Should you have a separate Net ID for Galveston than you do for College Station? My son applied 2 days ago. Manage Applications show both schools (with Galveston under review) however we can not toggle in AIS to see details of that application or scores/LOR’s etc. Can anyone help? So confused!
It’s a theory lol but who knows. I feel like we’re in the wizard oz and AO is Oz.
LOL you can tell this is using up way too much of my very limited free time or I’m just trying to make myself feel better.
Glad I’m not alone. This is all getting to be a bit much.
