Also worth noting (I guess) that the change major button is still available in Manage Applications (not AIS) so there are no signs of a PSA flip-flop (which, according to everything I’ve ever read on here, would be the first).
So basically, if I weren’t hanging out with you yeahoos, I wouldn’t be nervous. But I did, so I am. You are the company you keep.
Ok crossing fingers today is the day she gets out of in review into a decision or at least get tabs . I asked her to please login and check. It would be a nice way to start spring break.
Same! I wish we had registered for NSC last night, but he was playing baseball. Today we could only get his graduation day or July 9th. We were hoping for a May or June.
We never got the WHOOP, but yesterday around 4:30pm that page that says “You are being considered for TEAM only” changed, and we were able to sign up for NSC. Under Manage Applications, it still says Under Review… so it sounds like there may be more moving parts. I totally get your frustration though, but I bet it will finally change today! I know I’d still call though if it were me
We signed up for 7/9 as it was the earliest date besides graduation. Last time with son #1, we went to NSC the week after graduation; I would not recommended that. May parents had barely left from visiting! I’d say mid June at earliest so you give yourself and kid some breathing room. Let us know what they say!!!
@Texasmom12 May NSC is guaranteed to have kinks and glitches, be super crowded.
July sessions will be well oiled and less crowded.
Never wait until August NSC.
OK, so I called Aggie one stop Admissions just to ask when people should hear a decision by and she said they are rolling them out. It’s taking a little longer than anticipated, dependent upon the major, and if there is room in that major so the stuff that still under review is still under review until end of March if by the end of March, you have not seen an update in AIS you need to call back because it could be a glitch with the application in the system, as of right now, however. I didn’t tell her my kiddo name or anything like that I just said BIMS major no update and she said it’s taking longer than they thought
@emanyoussef you’ll only be at Mays day 2.
Nothing is terribly far in B/CS.
We love Embassy Suites!
Many stay at A&M Conf/Hotel on campus.
The George & Cavalry Court are in Century Square.
The Stella is slightly farther away, but very popular.
Hilton Conference Hotel on University is recently gutted/remodeled.
There’s a fairly new Aggieland Boutique Hotel on Texas (mixed reviews, but not too bad).
Hilton Tru is 6-8 minutes from campus-always clean, great rates and breakfast.
There are Hilton/Westin/Hyatt/Marriott brands all over town.
AVOID La Quinta on Texas, 1/2 block from University (this location only),
and both Hampton Inn’s. All 3 are HORRIBLE.
We did the dorm option that was offered when we registered for NSC. It was fun to stay on campus in the dorm. We walked everywhere all weekend and didn’t have to drive anywhere. We ate in the dining hall for our meals. Otherwise when we normally go to visit we stay at the Tru Hotel. A&M conference center hotel on campus is great if you can get a decent price. It varies widely. We have stayed there a few times and it is our first choice if we can get a decent price.
