Texas A&M Class of 2028 Official Thread

@kelly8 yes, next to certain Mays is full…but also depends on your stats. You could still be offered Blinn TEAM, Gateway and PSA, too.

I am still seeing my first option- mays. Does that mean my application has not been looked at?

My son’s account still shows Mays as #1 but he has not heard anything yet.

@kelly8 no, it means your application doesn’t have an offer/decision yet. When your 1st choice changes, then you’ll know a decision is coming.

@Aew242529 what did he list as a 2nd choice?
It’s quite possible he may not get a decision until January or February.
I would be familiar with Blinn TEAM, Gateway and PSA, just in case he doesn’t get his 2nd choice major.

I am new to this. Which option is the best - Blinn TEAM, Gateway or PSA?

You can Google them all-I suggest doing that.
My opinion-Gateway, Blinn TEAM, then PSA.
PSA is often viewed as a ‘soft rejection’, and Mays is not an option with PSA.

Called FA today and they said since our daughter has a National Recognition Award they will give us a in-state waiver for tuition (from WA state). There has not been anything written thus far. What has been your experience?

Anyone from Political Science hear anything yet?

I hate asking but “are you sure” about the In-State Tuition Waiver for NRP?
We have read online that waiver is no longer being offered and phased out.

@k3211 until it appears in daughters FinAid portal, I wouldn’t count on it-that’s the only way you can be sure.

I just got off the phone with Financial Aid.

National Recognition Program Scholarship is DONE, FINISHED, NO MORE.

All internal A&M Scholarships will not be awarded until March 2024 and will appear in the student’s Howdy Portal first then letters/offers emailed and snail mail.

Any OOS, holistic, Sport Management majors heard anything yet? My daughter applied 9/26, 4.022 GPA, First Quarter ranking, lengthy extra-curriculars, great essay, service hours, etc. ACT is the only thing lacking (21). She has been accepted to two other SEC schools already. It’s frustrating to wait so long!

did you submit 21?

Being OOS and with that Act, you’re destined to wait til new year.

What was his test score?

Yes…but now we wish we had gone test optional route. Ugh!

That’s what I figured…trying to be patient!

@amyjo901 OOS and submitting a 21 ACT, she’ll be waiting until at least January or February.
Great she’s got 2 other SEC schools!
