@ALL Hello Everyone!
If your name appears in the A&M directory…does that have any significance with admission accpetance?
Or is it just capturing applicants? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Staff only get a week off, but student helpers all gone. So normally not much next two weeks.
Normally will show major in the directory.
Thank you
Thank you very much
When should first quarter applicants expect to hear from the bush school? Based on what I’ve seen there hasn’t been anything from Bush, for anyone.
Most admission in Jan - Feb, pathways in Feb - March. Good Luck!
Anyone who applied to Mays is seeing second option on portal today?
At least 2 on this forum have posted this morning
I’m wondering the same thing. I don’t think a major is added until NSC. All my son’s friends that are accepted are in the directory with just their name (no major). Even the ones that are auto admits who were admitted 2 months ago and have accepted don’t show a major. I’d love to know the connection to being added to the directory and 7 tabs/admitted. Has anyone tracked this correlation?
Yes, we did
@ALL Do auto admit students have to complete college essay and TAMU specific statements (I.e. someone you admire, overcoming a challenge…)? Now that I think about it the application would stay incomplete without those items…correct??
Bush School majors are very small, so if you’re not hearing about acceptances, it doesn’t mean that some aren’t going out. It just means those people are not posting online/ where you’re reading. Source: My Class of '27 daughter is a POLS major. The obsession with “schools” making decisions is because Mays and Engineering are HUGE and extremely competitive, and 10X more applicants than Bush, so there are more students & parents talking about them online.
My son’s portal still shows first option Mays
Main essay is required, so without that will be incomplete.
All other questions only those marked required needed.
From college admission point of view, they place those questions strategically to rate the students, so not answering may not favor the applicants. Few years back, an auto-admit applied early without answering most of the questions (filled out only a very short essay A) got second choice offer.
Think of them as a sign of demonstrated interest. In other words, if you really want to attend school here, you will take the time to answer at least some of them.
It seems like last year there were quite a few admits this week. It seems super quiet this week. Some folks have said this year seems to be different and wondering how so?
Could you post the link? I haven’t been able to find the notification.
It was a message on the banner when my son logged into AIS. Said all early action engineering decisions have been deferred to Jan/Feb.
Are you talking about College of Engineering College Station, if so that’s wrong.
My S24 is OOS and was accepted just one day after the Texas Top 10%.
