Anymore holistic kinesiology or 2nd quarter admissions by chance?
If first choice is still Mays and you don’t have 7 tabs then this means they’re not close to making a decision on your app. If you have 7 tabs and it were to show Mays, then yes it would be Mays. But yes at this point, Mays is full. Change of major after 30 Tamu credits and meeting other requirements is possible through an application process within Tamu.
is psych bs hard to get into at a&m?
@sgltx062306 what are your stats - Rank, gpa, what quarter did A&M give you, SAT/ACT? When did you apply, and what’s your 2nd major choice?
Unless you are Top 10%, or 1stQ with high test scores, you can expect to wait for an admission decision…and definitely need to have back up plans in place. A&M is very competitive.
my gpa is 3.76/4 my rank is 2nd and i didnt submit the sat. i applied october 20th. My back up right now is baylor.
Baylor is a great plan!
2ndQ with test optional will be tough, going to be honest. But you never know!
Hi everyone! I applied in late October with my first choice major as Biology. I have not heard anything yet and my portal hasn’t changed at all, still have 3 tabs and AIS says I’m under review. Any input on my status/when I should hear back?
I am in-state but non-auto admit. GPA 88.81/100. SAT 1340. Tons of demonstrated interest and strong ECs
@co2028applicant did A&M put you in 1st or 2nd Quarter?
next to class rank it says 2nd quarter
The way this years going, if you don’t have a high test score, 2nd quarter is unlikely
1340 is decent though so rooting for you
@co2028applicant agree with @austinmomlv …
at this stage, 2ndQ isn’t in your favor. SAT good (not great) but the 2ndQ is going to hurt your acceptance.
I’d be very familiar with the pathway options-
Blinn TEAM, Gateway, Opportunity majors, and PSA (you can google them all, scroll thru this thread).
If/when a decision is offered, limited spots are available, housing is filling up, etc… you’ll need to move swiftly to make a decision. Be informed!
Statistics grows last two years.
@kelly8 see above chart for Stats
what is this for? thanks for all the input
My son was accepted to Statistics in October. Here were his stats for reference.
Applied 8/1
3.83 UW GPA
4.99 W GPA
1400 SAT
Top 25% (Holistic)
12 AP classes including this year
3 year varsity athlete
Large highly competitive high school
Good luck to you. Statistics is a great major.
Any College of Architecture acceptances lately? Haven’t see too many of those. Waiting on Construction Science.
Statistics is a great major. It was also included in the list of Opportunity Majors last year.
How hard it is to change from Stats major to Business?
