Texas A&M Class of 2029 Official Thread

I believe Texas state law is 90% in state and A&M is running 92/93%.

That said our admissions should emulate Georgia Tech imo. They do an early round just for in state and then the OOS is a few weeks later. The in state kids find out in December and the OOS kids find out in Mid January but that is AFTER the Regular Decision deadline so they are being compared against the full group of applicants. Just lots of advantages for In State kids and they don’t do Top 10% but rather try to make sure they get kids from every county and favor Rural students. It’s a clear and fair system that favors the right groups and has made their ranking soar to where now they are generally considered the best Public Engineering school.
