It’s not not true. Lol. Yes there are some outliers that get in like your son did but I can count on one hand how many times that has happened in the past few cycles.
So my statement is accurate but one can hold out hope I guess. And that’s super cool that it happened for your son.

October 17, I think. but it was full when we went to register. what is your date?
October 17th here too, so must be the same event but each regional center having their own process for sign-ups. She got the email yesterday evening and registered within a couple of hours. The first email back after registering said it was received and those selected would be notified, and then 10mins later got another email confirming she was registered.

She also posted a screen cap showing SPRING 2025 admission. I would guess those applications are processed through engineering review before the FALL 2025 applications.

Anyone know after getting the 7 tabs (unofficial admission), when will you get the actual official admittance email?

Are you auto admit or holistic?
For my student it took a whole month, but she applied 8/1 and 7 tabs on 8/12 and official admittance on 9/12 so everyone had to wait until that first wave of admittance so imagine it’s quicker now.
I’m sure others with more knowledge of previous years will be able to share more info!
And they don’t email anything, you will see it in AIS and Howdy Portal so check the portal daily/weekly!

Typically once the first round goes out then anyone after that will get 7 tabs one day and official within the next 2 days.

Rolling. Auto-admit (in-state, top 10%) will find out quickly. Holistic applicants usually take longer. Top holistic applicants who apply early may hear in the fall, but most hear in the winter or spring.

My son’s banner came in today. We are hiding it from him along with the confetti that I bought months ago so that we can have a surprise party for him when he gets out of engineering review. When two Aggies raise a son with lots of sips of the Aggie koolaid throughout his life and he decides that he wants to go to Texas A&M for engineering, parties are REQUIRED to be thrown to celebrate a second generation Aggie upon his acceptance.

DS was auto-admit to A&M and a NMSF. He got a 1570 on the SAT and has a 4.44 GPA with 13 AP classes and decent extra-curriculars. He was accepted on 9/17 (took that long because the high school was super late getting transcripts out) but still shows in Engineering Review and has not yet submitted his engineering honors application (he will finish it this weekend). 1. What are his chances of getting into engineering honors, and 2. when would you expect we’d find out?
We are trying to decide whether to pursue other options, and if he gets in to engineering honors he would choose Texas A&M. Thanks for your help!
