When did the admits come in today ?
I’m helping my friend asking about non-auto engineering. Anyone already heard back about being admitted to general engineering?
The application showed complete on 23rd Sep. Anybody around the same time who has already received. Just trying to assess.
Ours was complete and in review by 8/12. He’s holistic. Got the 7 tabs yesterday.

For those who got acceptance today, were you guys able to do housing application? We clicked into the link, but do not see the application? Maybe TAMU is still working on that?
Congrats! It can take a day or two for housing to update. Try again tomorrow!

How likely (or unlikely) is 2nd quarter from a highly competitive TX high school? 3.7 GPA. Test optional. Excellent essays, recs, awards, community service, extracurriculars, leadership. Suffer from dyslexia and discuss that impact in essay. Eagle Scout. What would I need to get on SAT to be considered for admission?
Eagle scout is a very good, long term EC.
Try to get SAT with at least 1300 to get TEAM. They will take into consideration of dyslexia. In addition to that you may be able to get a special SAT without time limit.
If you take early November test you can still make the documentation deadline. Make sure you also upload dyslexia diagnosis in AIS.

Wow, kind of died off around here with all the admissions flooding in!
Along those lines, if your are offered admission and accept, can you later back out if something else comes along? Not sure that would happen, but let’s say a kid accepts and registers for the NSC and then another school makes an offer with a significant financial aid advantage. Or they get a last-minute acceptance from their stretch school. Could they back out from A&M and take the other offer?
I’m just asking as there seems to be an incentive to accept at A&M to get more options for NSC but you might not want to cut off other opportunities. (Again, I’m thinking A&M is really the choice but what if a kid’s brass ring school comes through later?)
You won’t get NSC refund or Housing deposit back. Be sure to cancel Housing contract prior to May 1. But otherwise, you can accept another offer, if a better one comes along.
How important is it to get an early NSC? Do the May dates fill up fast? Seems like it’s about $225 to register that you can’t get back but DS won’t find out if he gets into other schools till Jan. We did already do housing application.
Honestly I wouldn’t suggest the May NSC-guaranteed to be chaotic, system will crash, etc.
ALWAYS wait until graduation/prom/Project Grad etc are over.
June & July NSC’s are FINE (wouldn’t suggest August NSC), as new seats are opened for all classes.
