Never assume. I don’t want to give anyone false hope, but I’m just shocked there hasn’t been a full admit round in 2 months. So I’m hoping there may be another small one for non engineering students. HOWEVER with that being said, historically, once the option email goes out, there hasn’t been another full admit round.
On the reddit thread I’ve see a bunch of students freaking that they haven’t heard ANYTHING and have really high stats. 4.0’s, 1st quarter, etc. Maybe there will be a full admit round for some??
Ah, yeah, that makes sense. I was wondering if there was gonna be more waves of Blinn Team offers since that’s what I’m hoping for. I checked the class of 2028 thread and it seems there wasn’t? However r/TAMUAdmissions seems to say otherwise.
Same here! Complete and in review by 8/10. Strong GPA, course rigor, and ec’s. We did submit SAT. Ranked 3rd in her class, but due to small class size she is not top 10%. First choice FIVS, second choice Agribusiness. We know several other kids still waiting. Im trying to remain hopeful they are slowly trickling out. We are trying to get our backup secured in case it’s not the news we want.
Hi question from out of state. Does Texas A&M not send out rejections or only at the end of March? He is going for engineering and I know there are a few more openings left but worried since he was excepted at all other schools so far and not at A&M yet so feels ominous. He signed up for the night with the Corp and don’t want him to go and love it and then get a rejection the next week. Is the long wait due to A&M waiting to see if other accepted students reject the offer and then that opens up a spot? Just trying to understand the process. Thanks
I really hope so, but in years past, that has not been the case. I’m just surprised there wasn’t a December wave.
I do know that they are scaling back on admissions for the Fall and they had record submissions this cycle. This forum is a small sampling. But.. if we combine reddit and fb plus personal groups, we should have seen a round after thanksgiving go out. I don’t think I missed it, did I?
Hey there.. no, tamu doesn’t wait for people to decline their acceptances and then add more students later. Not to get into the weeds of it, tamu does, towards the end like April, change some people from TEAM to full if they find a slot for them.
Engineering has the most pathways, so fear not on getting some sort of reply next week or into Feb.
In the Howdy portal when you click Manage Application, can you still see College Station listed?
And below that 2 buttons - change major and withdraw application?
She just checked AIS again and it now says ‘You’ve Been Admitted’! Agribusiness is still listed as her major. She has a friend who got the same today, so looks like holistic decisions for Ag are rolling out…finally!
New here, been a silent reader and supporter, but had to join in on the conversation because the wait is horrendous. Wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. I applied early November as a neuroscience major. I’m in state but not top 10%, so holistic. I applied test optional, I have a 4.9 W and 3.9 UW GPA. Any clue on when holistic neuroscience admits will be?
I’ve been checking AIS and Howdy like crazy but still nothing. And haven’t been offered any alternate pathways.
