Son got in with a 1340 last year and fewer APs so you never know. He excelled and had a 4.0 freshman year in Mays.

No idea, but that was the only one that my DS pointed me to. But as pointed out, reddit cannot be trusted. Anyway, your DS’s scores are great; let’s hope that we hear soon. Its been agonizing waiting and we were holding off applying to other places hoping that we would hear from TAMU and be done with the process.

Mays Business Honors sent an email out that they have received the Honors applications. It is so competitive. Good luck to all who applied

Great thing is, with or without BH, Mays is still fantastic!
Adding to the stats, many/most are NMSF or Commended. Leadership, community service and awards play a big factor, as well as rank/gpa and scores.

A new tab in Howdy Portal this morning. Could it mean more are coming? Or was personal info” already there?
OK I thought the same thing yesterday and wrote it off as me not paying attention before, but with two of us thinking that maybe it’s new lol. Doubt it means anything, maybe just that it’s making its way through the system.

My son noticed that new tab as well but also not sure it means anything…
My twins have that now too and both are holistic so makes me think everyone now has that?
My son’s portal also has 4 tabs, he’s OOS/Holistic/Engineering
Any updates on holistic acceptances? Things seem to be very slow this year.

So slow! My son found out last year on Oct 4th…holistic review.
We logged in to AIS and it says, “Congratulations, (My son’s name)! You’ve been Admitted! Welcome to the Aggie Family”. It also has links to register for NSC. But we went to Howdy, and it says “Under Review”.
Maybe it just takes a bit to update on the Howdy Portal, but he is definitely a holistic business major in accounting.
Hopefully, everyone starts hearing something soon, as I know how this anxiety has been killing me.

It could be his 2nd major (Econ, I think?).But it could also be BUAD (Mays students all enter BUAD, and don’t declare their major until at least sophomore year).
Keep us posted! And make sure he checks often for Housing portal link to open; dorm selection is based on time stamp housing deposit is paid.
Thanks. It says Business Administration for his major and BA in College and BAC under degree. I figured if it was Econ, I believe that’s in the Liberal Arts College, but I’m not 100% sure.
Either way, we are very happy to put this behind us.

That’s Mays! BUAD woohoo!
Again, make sure he hovers for housing link, it usually opens early in the mornings. It’s a 2 step process, don’t stop until he gets the message “next step is phase 2” (something like that).

My son’s Academic Record in Howdy just got changed – it was blank earlier today. Does this mean he got admitted? Both AIS and Howdy/Manage Admissions Applications is still showing “Under Review”.
Congratulations, seems like a bunch of holistic decisions for Mays went out last night.
