Congrats! When you say mailboxes.. were you notified in the portal then received the paper mail notification? Auto admit?
It was mailed to our home. Yes, he was auto admit.

BH is always notified thru USPS mail, it does not appear on the portal.
CONGRATS!! Hands down, BH is the best program at A&M! I can’t say enough great things about it.

Know of another BH acceptance. Auto-admit, applied on August 1. I would assume they are looking at them by app date.

I know BH sends the offers in a big envelope for a few months between now and January. Do they send rejection letters, too? Or no news = not accepted.
BH only sends Acceptance packets (unless they have started sending a ‘thanks for applying’ letter-which would be new since my daughter was at A&M).
When my son was an incoming freshman 2 years ago and had applied for BH he did a get a rejection letter in the mail.

My daughter got her acceptance (through the portal) today! She is holistic for AGSM.

In the AIS portal did it end up listing her as top 10% or 1st quarter? I know you were trying to figure out the valedictorian exception, so curious how they ended up listing it.
She was listed as 1st quarter.

Wondering when there are going to update test score data for next cycle! Have you found any info anywhere?
Has anyone else’s student had the unofficial transcript & NSC options pop up in howdy portal while still under review? these appeared a week ago but no change in application status…
I called and they said it will not be updated until after this application cycle closes in December. I also submitted a public records request asking for that data once it is available.
I found out the government website where they submit the required data. Here is the link but it is only updated up to 2023. I think the government gives them a few years to submit it. College Navigator - Texas A&M University-College Station
The median score in 2023 was 1310. In 2024 it was 1290. I am guessing that median remains in a similar spot ± 20 points from year to year.
Please note that the data on this other A&M site regarding test scores is only for enrolled students not for all applicants. I was mistakenly looking at it for historical median score data, but the TX House Bill clear states it has to be the median score of all applicants not just the enrolled.

I know this probably doesn’t mean anything but my son received an email to get started with the audition process for the Aggie Band but he hasn’t been admitted yet. Any insights? Did everyone get this email? Nothing has changed in Howdy or AIS for him (yet).
