Thank you so much.

I don’t know where April came from! Sorry. I meant September!!

We didn’t really like Common App, but the language on the A&M website made it seem like the preferred method

Apply Texas had a re-vamp last year and it was quite glitchy. Some things that were supposed to be in the application weren’t there. They had to send out special forms to be filled out later on in the process.

I hope it didn’t slow things down going through Common App

They are pretty much requiring you use common app so no, I don’t think it will slow things down and if it does, it’ll be for everyone. No one at a disadvantage.

My daughter applied last year on 8/1 through Common App. She is co-Valedictorian with a 1530 SAT score. It took 2 weeks for her official transcript to be received. She received her UIN email on 8/9. She received her acceptance email into Mays Business Major on 8/12.

Wow, Apply Texas messed it up that bad huh? It was a bit frustrating last year when all of the EC’s and some other answered questions didn’t attach to the application when hitting submit.

Thank you! Anxiously awaiting that UIN for housing first. Then the acceptance to Mays! Your daughter was definitely an automatic acceptance. Did she pursue the BH program?

She is on a premed track, so she was not sure about BH. She got into University Honors but decided against it. She may try to apply to BH this Freshman year since there is another opportunity to. Good luck to your student! My son just applied on 8/1 to get into Engineering for Fall 2026.

Thank you. Hope you have fun with your 2 Aggies!!

Getting the UIN is not what allows you to sign up for housing. You have to wait until you are officially admitted to the university. Last year the first UINs came out around 8/6 and university admittance and housing portal opened up around 9/12.

Applied 8/1 and still no AIS email. Anyone received theirs yet?

Got this morning around 4:00 am. Applied via ApplyTexas on 8/2

Seems like Apply Texas applications get processed quicker than through Common App.

That’s disappointing

Is Resume uploaded in the STAR system or Common app?

Common app will only allow dd to invite one teacher recommender? She put her first choice as Business. Does this mean the other recommender should be a non teacher?

LORs are really not helpful. I wouldn’t put too much stress on it. You can always upload it on AIS or have them send it in directly to Tamu with the UIN noted.

Still nothing from applying via Common App on 8/3. Should we be concerned? She wanted to get in fast for dorm selection and now I’m thinking we should have done Apply Texas.
