Oh that’s interesting. We still get the error that “Your account is not in the housing system.” Maybe current students get access before any incoming freshmen, which would make sense given the news that acceptances should start going out next Thursday.

That’s the only thing I can think of too. Does make sense but doesn’t seem like they’ve done it that way in years past.
Also, sucks if you are trying to stay at a certain price point for housing. I hope there’s still reasonable left by the time we get to pay lol
And same-getting that same message you are still.
It may be open but it’s not available til you are accepted. Since nothing official has gone out yet, all good.
Current students get access later. Like late fall.

as we wait a few more days (hopefully not weeks) for some acceptances to officially go out, have a question for any experts:
does it matter the time of day deposits get made for housing regarding the queue? i know a few hours likely would not make much difference, but curious if it’s specifically time stamped, and earlier is still better than later.
Earlier is always better for tamu. As for an hour difference, probably not lol. A day or 2.. wouldn’t risk it if dorm selection if super important to the student.
I wish that were the case, but can someone confirm? The website still says that it will be a holistic review.
Has anyone received an official offer from Mays yet? We applied through the Common App on August 3 and completed the application in AIS on August 17. ChatGPT says the earliest offers could come in late September—is that accurate?
BTW, we are auto-admit with top 1.5%, merit semifinalist and SAT 1510
No one has received official offer yet. Expect this week for first drop, but had expected it last week, too.

I actually doubt this. It also showed seven tabs in “Overview” with admitted / Mys, but if you clicks “Manage admissions” in Applicant section, it shows “Application status: under review”. Can someone confirm?
Use AIS credentials for NetID.

That is what we have as well still.
7 tabs, overview says admitted, but still “under review”.

We have not received this either.
Not here. I think Official decision = when AIS updates to “Admitted” and lists your program.
The 7 tabs is just a precursor to admission. Once the system gets rolling, most will get the 7 tabs and then a few days later the official word on AIS comes in. With this first round of people getting 7 tabs, they have to wait until addmissions department “releases” the information on AIS. IT will happen like a thief in the night… or morning in this case, around 7am Central time is when we notice the change typically.
Nothing is full now. No need for any autos who have all check marks and 7 tabs to worry about being late to the party.
To reiterate, Once this first round goes out, the next round of official decisions happen quicker between 7 tabs and AIS updated… or even the Howdy Manage app updated.
