Does anyone have anything “fun” planned once the good news comes? We ordered some TAMU themed balloons and will definitely go to dinner. They are patiently waiting in the hall closet just in case haha

Question about the “housing contract” you sign during phase 1. Does this lock you in? Son wants to stay off campus if it ends up that a few of his group are accepted. They will probably not know until maybe after Christmas (holistic reviews). I had planned to pay housing deposit once open just in case it didn’t work out the way they hoped to ensure he had a place at least. For some reason, I was under the understanding you didn’t have to confirm until more towards end of this school year, but now I’m second guessing. Any recommendations?
it doesn’t lock you in but it’s a non-refundable (nominal) deposit

Thank you! I’m okay with that. Rather loose the 75 than not have a place to stay if their plans change I guess. Too hard with everything up in the air. Appreciate the info!

At our admissions talk.. the man said exactly this. He said updates early morning and only once a day.
It did not keep us from checking at all hours though

What is the next thing that happens when a student is out of engineering review and is officially admitted into engineering? Does Howdy get that update first and then AIS however many days later?
Still no official admittance. Auto admit Sitting at 7 tabs and app “complete and in review”

I remember when he got the email for AIS it was lunch time.. holding out hope for just later in the day. But who knows.
I also saw res life posted spring 2027 only housing drops tomorrow.. so I was hopeful again that maybe this would come today. We will see.

Makes you wonder if they had more applicants than even they planned for.
Can long in to summer housing now! (Not that it’s needed), but maybe that means things are starting to roll.
Still nothing different in AIS or letter in comms.
