Texas A&M Class of 2031 Official Thread

Anyone else checking email a few times a day for AIS access? lol

Today is day 1 post-submission, and yes, which I know is silly! Didn’t the app say we would get an acknowledgment email by September 1? I was a little confused as to what comes next because I thought we would get started in AIS soon after submitting…but do we need the acknowledgment email to get into AIS?

You should get your UIN and access to AIS soon after you applied. You will use the site to watch for checkmarks and Xs. With UiN, you will also be able tonset up Howdy account.

I know I keep thinking.. have I lost my mind lol I figured it would take a little while to get the acknowledgment email, but hopefully not Sept. 1 long. We are ready to have done all we can lol

It’s taken 8-9 days both times for us to get AIS. Applied 8/1 and got AIS access on 8/8 and 8/9.

Thank you for the info! You know it’s silly, but you already start hoping there’s no glitches or something crazy so that puts my mind at ease. Thank you!

Exactly! I’m still checking even though I know. :joy:

Don’t stress on the LOR. When my c/o 2025 applied she had them in the Common App and there was some glitch to where TAMU was not downloading them so she ended up uploading them to AIS. It didn’t slow her app down and she was admitted 9/12. I noticed this year the website says to go through AIS or mail them so maybe they have eliminated trying to get them from the Common App altogether?

#2 submitted her application tonight!

To whoever asked about the scholarship essays, encourage them to power through! My first one did receive a small merit based scholarship. Not sure if essays played a role or only based on stats but you never know.

I noticed yesterday in the common app overview it shows that A&M is one of the few colleges we applied to that has downloaded the app. Maybe we’ll get AIS access sooner than Sept 1st.

That’s a great sign! I would think that if they are still going to start admitting mid-late September they will send UIN’s before September 1st because auto admits still need some time to get transcripts in, STARS linked and so forth but that they put that blurb in there to try and limit all the phone calls in early August. At least that is my guess, lol.

Go to left menu and click on Overview where colleges are listed. You should see downloaded there.

Still just submitted here. Hopefully others who didn’t apply as soon as it opened also show the same!

This is screenshot from another poster. But if you don’t see this exact screen, then you’re not looking in right place.
