Texas A&M Class of 2031 Official Thread

I do see that exact screen as well, and the A&M app has not been downloaded. I assume they downloaded in a batch before my son applied the night of August 3.

Gotcha. :+1:

My daughter applied the night of 8/4 and it’s still in “submitted” stage too, not yet downloaded.

I read a post on FB that said last year UIN’s for the common app didn’t go out until closer to 8/19.

I didn’t have a student last year, but my friend did. I just searched my texts to look back at last year’s timeline. Here is what I found:

“Son sat in on an A&M business school call today…They were told they would get AIS by end of next week max.” (date of text Aug 14.)

Aug 21 I asked if he’d gotten AIS and he had.

Sept 11 he had acceptance/admittance.

Yes, I remember following all the delays from last year so I wasn’t expecting anything quick this year. I can only imagine how many applicants they get right off the bat when the common app opens!

From one of the fb groups, seems like everyone that submitted on 8/1 is showing “downloaded by college” on common app, but people who submitted on 8/3 are showing “submitted”. Makes me wonder if they’ve only started the first batch-must be a ton of applicants this year. I have no idea, but just my thoughts!

I’m also curious as to common app versus apply Texas.. a friend told me last year it seemed like Apply Texas heard back faster.. I’ve not seen anyone post on this this yr (son used common app because heard that business prefers it).

Last year apply texas got their uin faster but no bearing on decision timeline. Just wanted to clarify

Another question, when my son did his SAT and Clep exams he had the scores sent to TAMU at that time. Should I expect when he gets AIS access to have to have them sent again or will they somehow link them?

which FB group? I need to try and join.

Search Class of 2031 parents. I’ve really found this group more helpful, but it’s another resource.

Tamu will link them in Howdy.

Mays info meeting yesterday. Recruiter did confirm “late August to Sept. 1” for AIS. Just wanted to pass info along for all of us waiting

I feel so impatient. We had 7 tabs by now 2 years ago. My son’s application shows as downloaded by the university, but not his school profile in common app (I have access as his homeschool ‘counselor’

Is he auto?

Good to get official updates, and it’s sounding like they really are moving later with the AIS access.

Yes - by SAT score but not by a ton. He got a 1330 - but he wants Mays so is a little antsy.

Ten days later, the common app was downloaded by A&M. On to the next waiting game.

So some say they do a second review for Mays. For auto admits who apply early, I’ve never heard of them not getting into Mays.

Ive asked people in Mays and they said there is not a 2nd review like engineering. Somewhere lies the truth. Hate the lack of transparency though.
