We did too! My student just linked her STAR. On to the next waiting game!
Mine said 24 more hrs for howdy access. Self reported transcript linked though. Will keep checking.
What’s our next step.. wait for howdy access and just keep checking the AIS for movement?
I dunno about yall, but it feels like a weight lifted.. “okay, we’ve do all that we can” lol
AIS all set up and STARS linked.
We had transcript sent and our school’s system shows it arrived and accessed (electronically) by TAMU on 8/11 but AIS doesn’t show it as received yet. Hoping it will process soon and update to a green check.
It can take a day or a little longer for the green checkmark to show up after they link STARS, right?
yes, if I remember correctly from the last time nothing ever went from a red to a green check on the same day. It always needed at least one day to update and not sure if weekends count.
We were told at an admissions workshop we did that AIS updates once a day (between 2-4 AM). The man was saying not to check it a million times a day for this reason (even though I’m sure my son will still continue to
) lol
Also-was able to log in to howdy this morning so check if you haven’t ![]()
Looking at AIS, you can “ping” your counselor for a School Report or Top 10% Letter, but neither of these show as “green check/red X” for a completed application. I know on Common App it also seemed to indicate whether the School Report was recieved yet (son’s still shows not).
I’m assuming there’s no point bothering poor overworked counselors to link these in AIS, correct? I assume if you go to a very large Texas school A&M already has the school report info (and our distcrict doesn’t even update it every year), and as for the Top 10% letter, that just gets done via SARS self-report and the student uploading an official transcript (or having a service send directly a sealed/official transcript)
I have the same question as far as school profile/school report goes since that’s the only thing we can’t do ourselves so curious what the experts here think.
We are able to request transcripts through the district’s system and upload LOR to AIS and that worked with my c/o 2025 but her school counselor did send school report later in September through the common app.
We are homeschoolers and as the homeschool administrator I am listed as the counselor for my daughter so I have access to the Common App counselor page. I submitted our school profile, counselor’s letter, and transcript but A&M has not downloaded those while some other colleges have. I wanted to share that for those who are worrying about public school counselors not able to submit documents til later. It may not matter if A&M doesn’t pull them til a later date.
We applied on 8/1, got the “downloaded by college” on 8/2 but still the counselor documents have not been pulled.
Question for the experts:
While it’s possible to upload LOR in AIS, my student waived their rights and was planning to have teachers link in CommonApp. When he submitted the application to A&M on 8/1, the teachers did link in CommonApp (they have now). But since A&M has already downloaded the CommonApp, if he assigns in CommonApp those LORs will A&M still receive them that way?
I know LORs are not generally useful for A&M, but I wanted to make sure they did get to A&M if they might help a bit for Honors or a scholarship potentially (and they’re already done anyway, since they were meant for all schools and outside scholarships).
that should read “the teachers did NOT link in CommonApp when he submitted and before A&M downloaded”. Hate no edit feature on this message board!
Fyi you should be able to edit. But it does time out. Like you can’t come back after an hour or so to edit. Not sure what the actual time limit is.
Edited to say… hit the pencil under the post to edit.
Woke up to the good Monday morning news that STARS had officially linked, and there are all green checks in AIS. Seeing “My App Is Complete And In Review” was very exciting!
We have the STARS green check but not the rank. Glad you got that! Hopefully soon for the rest of us.
Similar over here too. STARS and Top 10% rank green checked but transcript still showing red so have the “We need your high school transcript to verify your top ten ranking and admit you!”
Edited my response because we can see in Common App that the LOR was downloaded. Can also see them listed in AIS under “received documents”
We have an X for need high school transcript. But under My Received Documents, it shows A&M received the transcript from our school on 8/10. Should we have it sent again?
