<p>I have always wanted to do projects on my own! Does Dartmouth readily fund student projects? And are students motivated to work individually on projects?</p>

<p>ajay , doing ‘projects’ and solving problems is a very big part of engineering. Every good engg. school in the US requires projects and lab work. </p>

<p>I can’t say how motivated people are at Dartmouth but Dartmouth’s intro to engg. course itself requires you to complete an economically feasible project.
