The 5th Quarter

Do Not Miss movie. I seldom even GO to the movies (we watch at home), but H was out of town and for some reason I was drawn to this. It is a true story about a family who lost a 15 year old son in a car accident in 2006. It centers a lot on the older brother who was a football player for Wake Forest and how the whole team rallied in honor of the deceased brother. It also focuses a lot on the struggle of the parents to cope with this.

It is a very emotional experience to watch this movie, but has been recommended as a must-see for teens and their parents.

Excellent acting performances, too.

Ah, yes, MOWC – D graduated from Wake in May. She had explained the whole raising 5 fingers to us when we were at a Parent’s Weekend football game. I’m sure the move is very, very emotional.

Yes, it is a very moving film. Several of my friends are in it as extras.
