The Amazing Race - season 29

I thought it was too bad to have a U-turn on such a linear leg. The boys were amazing at getting ahead but seems like almost any other team, including a strong ones like Seth and Olive, would not have been able to pass another team.

I agree with @mom2and – I didn’t think the double U turn was particularly fair (and I get its a game and isn’t always fair) on a leg when the weaker teams kept getting put back on a even field with the strong teams (ex. one flight, one ferry). It make it so the stronger teams had little leeway to complete the double U turn in time to not be eliminated. Kudos to the boys for showing that it could get done, but losing Seth and Olive so early because of this double U turn does not benefit the show in any way.

I am hoping that Redmond was just having a bad day and will repent because I had liked that team. Clearly Shamir is getting the (deserved) A-hole edit.

The one former contested I despised the most --can’t remember his name–but the guy who screamed at and intimidated his wife. I swear she must have had people lined up telling her to divorce him after that.

@TempeMom; Yeah he was obnoxious and treated his wife like dirt. But I was rooting for them to win so she could afford to hire a hit man after she got home.

FYI there are 2 episodes this week, Thursday at 9 and the usual 10pm.

I was very sad to see Seth and Olive go - such a level headed work hard team. That sucked.

I actually LOVED that the boys - especially Redmond - let that blonde have it for u-turning them. I mean she did something to them last episode too right? When are you going to call it even? You have to decide when something is petty on this show and when you need to push it - this was not a thing to push. The boys are clearly a stronger team and she may regret getting on their bad side.

I wonder if any romantic relationship will come out of any of these couples? I know they are just winning hugs at the end, but they are HUGS!!!

I too am sorry to see Seth and Olive go, they are a great time. The boys are unstoppable and people come on that show to win. More power to them!

That one blonde girl (London?) has the most sparkly eyes/smile I believe I have ever seen. Beautiful.

My son and I are wondering if team LOLO will start a romance–they are both so cute and seem to get along very well so far.

Is anyone watching the youtube recaps?

Don’t forget that there are two episodes tonight, starting at 9!

Ya, and the couple who didn’t make it back to the boat.

I love Becca and Floyd…such joy watching them!

Well, the bearded guy (Mike?) sure did turn into a jerk. I liked him in earlier episodes but now he’s right up there with Brooke as most annoying.

I definitely think Brooke is the most annoying. And then she gets so annoyed at her partner, who seems to be a saint. Bearded guy was definitely a jerk tonight, but I can’t even imagine how cranky I would be after a few days on the race. I was glad they were not eliminated because I really like Liz. As a team there are certain tasks they are very good at, and then certain tasks they are very bad at. Tara and Joey are fun to watch. I don’t like how mean Ashton is to Vanck.

I liked Mike and Liz until last night. What a jerk he was to Liz. Scott (is he Brooke’s teammate?) is a saint.

I wonder what will happen at the u-turn in the next epsode?

I think he was a jerk because he knows that he’s a physical liability and that makes him feel bad. Liz handled it as well as anyone could.

Man, Scott should get some money just for putting up with Brooke.

Becca and Floyd were so fun. And funny. They couldn’t believe that they weren’t first. Don’t get too complacent, kids!

I am really liking this season!

Even though they weren’t first after the fast forward, Becca and Floyd were grateful for the sky-diving experience they had. Their enjoyment of the race is infectious; too bad some of the other teams haven’t figured out how to have fun too.

Does anyone else think that it’s odd that some teams are winning vacation trips for two? Are they expected to go together or do they flip a coin to see who gets to go?

^^ Well, that’s always been an issue for teams who were not partners, and who had significant others. My guess is that they are able to take a cash value instead if they so choose.
