The Amazing Race!

I love this show!

The teams I’m pulling for right now are:

The Cowboys (they need to get it together though, ha ha)
Mallory and her dad
Kris and Amanda
The Goths

And let’s be honest… Phil is beyond adorable. Too bad he’s married. Loved him in that big hat! ; -)

So excited that it’s back!

I thought everyone knew “between the devil and the deep blue sea”. Now I have to google where that’s from and why people wouldn’t know it.

Does anyone else have a fear, coupled with recurring nightmares about being in an ocean/body of water with large fish? Because that was my worst nightmare come to life.

So happy it’s back. A couple of my favorite teams are back.

Scuba diving is a fear of mine, so doing it with sharks is that much worse.

Can’t believe I missed this, I think we were watching some worst cooks in america rerun. Crap.

So ticked off that so many teams shared the clue! The cowboys are one of my fav teams and while they weren’t figuring it out so well, at least they had effort - sure hope they can make up ground on the second leg of the race. :(

It was a pretty intense first show. Swimming deep with the sharks would have done me in.

DH and I love that show. I’m sure we would end the race in divorce, though, if we attempted to run it together, and it would totally be my fault. DH is a laid back, funny, nice and kind. I’m competitive, a back seat driver, and a bit nasty.

The cowboys are my faves, but I love the Harlem Globetrotters, too.

The shark tank would have been pretty creepy, but it looked like they all had a “helper” with them underwater to kind of guide them along/show them how to breathe, so maybe it wouldn’t have been too bad. The boats looked fun. Christina was waaay too nice to share the clue with everyone. Hopefully people will return the favor later on!

I would last approximately 5 seconds on this show before having a fullblown meltdown. Phil would have to carry me away. Just watching it gets me worked up! ; -)

Sailing a skiff in Sydney harbor? I’m in!

We love AR too. The redhead pair just seem too cocky to me, too much “we are so awesome” attitude.
I was very surprised about the clue sharing so early in the show. Might come back to bite them. I like the father/daughter pair from WV who won the free pass.

I like the show but I’m disappointed this show is like a retread by being comprised of previous losing teams rather than new people. I’d rather the show had new people - these old teams already had their chance and had the experience.

I also was disappointed by so many teams essentially cheating (although I guess not technically since it’s apparently allowed) on the one item with the phrase. It creates too much of an imbalance.

ucsducladad - I don’t think the teams should be allowed to share info either. It is a competition after all!

The redheads are really unpleasant. Also, Luke and Margie drive me nuts… not sure why, but they do! I vividly remember him having lots of “tantrums” during their previous season. And the sister team - would you seriously have not tried to take swimming lessons if you knew you were being on the show again? Swimming seems to be right up there with driving a stick shift, being good with heights, and dealing with eating something nasty - you should be fine with all of the above if you are going to be on the show! Just my opinion…

Guess the cowboys aren’t the sharpest knives in the saddlebag, are they?

I don’t mind the retread aspect because it seems they are making the tasks more challenging to offset the experience factor. And at least we don’t have a parade of pretty and dim “dating couples” or married Bickersons to contend with this time --in fact, there aren’t any married couples at all, are there? Maybe none felt their marriage could survive a second round.

The show always makes me antsy to hop on a plane and go just about ANYWHERE, but it’s just sheer cruelty to show us the blue skies and sunshine of Australia as we slog through the tail end of the snowiest winter in decades.

This is my very favoirte show on televison. I love seeing all the cities and culture and how they go along with the missions. I do like the cowboys, and also think the red heads are too full of themsleves. I missed it Sunday, so need to catdh up online.

Argh! Why can’t the cowboys, my favorite team, find anyone who knows what that is???

I feel the samme way YDS. The only team I can’t stand so far is the red heads

Phew! I have a least-favorite team, for sure. I hope they’re out this week as they are in the bottom three right now.

Christina seems to have so much respect and patience w/ her dad. It cracked me up when “the grocery store” fell out of his coat…

My d walked in as the kangaroos were running down the road and her response was “mom, why do you find this interesting?” I admit it’s crazy, but I couldn’t stop laughing!

I’m OK w/ that team leaving…boring…don’t even remember their names.

Kris and Amanda are adorable, but I don’t think they’re the sharpest knives in the drawer so no big surprise they got the boot… So happy my main men (the Cowboys) made a comeback. Mallory cracks me up. The kangaroo suits were hilarious! I think Christina wants to kill her dad at times.

I think I want to kill Christina’s dad sometimes.
