About the train, my daughter often takes an Amtrak train to and from college to home, and often they don’t ask for the ticket.

Yep, several trips on Amtrak and Metrolink to/from LA I’ve not been asked for my ticket. Better have it if you’re asked for it though!

Tonight’s episode was fun! I was sad to see Bill and Cathi go - I really grew to like them. Everyone seemed pretty worn out in this episode - I think the race is taking its toll!

Belgium looks beautiful. The pigeon thing was neat, and I totally would have been snacking on some waffles. The Mustang challenge was so cool, and WOW, the snowboarders won a Mustang each! My dad was watching the show with me, and he is beyond jealous now. What a great prize.

I love Marcus and Amani and the way he relates everything to football… ha! I feel like the snowboarders stand the best chance to win the whole thing though. I am on the fence about Ernie and Cindy and Sandy and Jeremy - don’t like them as much as Team Football and the snowboarders. Next week’s tightrope/heights challenge looks terrifying. I wonder if a gross-out food challenge is somewhere in the works too… don’t think we’ve had one yet!

When they first mentioned “waffles”, I thought it was going to be an eating challenge. Your’re right, there hasn’t been an eating challenge yet.

Sad to see Bill & Cathi go, but they lasted a long while. Remember, they woul’dve gone home on the first leg if it weren’t a non-elimination leg.

So sad to see Bill & Cathi eliminated. I really don’t want the snowboarders to win. I’d rather an underdog team, although Sandy & Jeremy aren’t my favs. I like Marcus & Amani. If they win I’d be delighted for them.

How old are Bill and Cathi? I’m sorry to see them go.

Ds1 home from college saw this season for the first time and was immediately impressed with the snowboarders. They are really good and have a great attitude. I like that they don’t bicker.

The Mustang task was awesome. I thought Ernie’s instructor was so humorless.

It would have been such a pleasure to watch Bill and Cathi win - their reaction would have been priceless I’m sure. :)

At this point, my top 2 are snowboarders and team football - would be a pleasure to see either win. I would really be disappointed if Cindy and Ernie won. If Jeremy and Sandi won I would feel they didn’t really earn the win.

Fun episode!! Sad to see Cathi and Bill go. They were great! The snowboarders are growing on me. I am rooting for Marcus and Amani, but I don’t think they have the “directional” skills necessary. I hope they at least make it to the finals. I like Ernie, but Cindy annoys me. I feel like they don’t show Jeremy and Sandy very much, either they are boring, or maybe they are not in the finals?

I noticed that as well with Ernie -the instructor seemed almost angry. However, I think Marcus had the same instructor and Marcus had him laughing. It made me wonder what happened when he was with Ernie.

Driving the Mustangs on that course looked like a blast and winning a pair of Mustangs where they get to determine the options would be even better.

They’re 63 and 62 according to the show’s website.

The snowboarders had me rolling my eyes when the one was basically jealous for not having the chance to do the Mustang challenge - and he called on Jesus to take it away from him, he prayed on it or some other bull - and then he felt better. Really??? I don’t think the Almighty is there to calm your ego down and stop being such a jerk.

Maybe I should stop and pray about the not-born-again anger I am feeling toward him? Ah, that’s just me, not liking the righteous.

I was also sad to see Cathi and Bill go. Did they make it further than any past ‘older’ couple?

I am impressed this season with the lack of bickering in the teams. Compared to some previous seasons, this one is quite tame.

As a Christian, I completely understood what the snowboarder was doing to ask for jealousy to be removed. That is the privilege we have, to ask for the strength to be more like Jesus. It was refreshing to see such vulnerability and honesty.

The religious comments in this episode didn’t bother me like the (disrespectful, imo) Buddhist comments did - everybody’s entitled to feel something and cope with it in some way.

Wow! I never would have guessed that the snowboarders wouldn’t make the final three!! Well, they certainly got enough goodies and vacations to show how well they did. Next up for them - Survivor?

So disappointing. And the fact that 2 of those couples only made it because their CAB DRIVERS solved the clue! The 2 couples had nothing to do with making it to the pit stop!

I"m bummed. :(

I was pulling for the boys to win in the end, so I was disappointed to see them eliminated tonight. They were nice, fun, laid back and appeared to appreciate the places they visited and the people they met. I’m now on Team Marcus and Amani. DH and I talk about how much fun it would be to do the Amazing Race … and then we crack up laughing because we both know it would probably lead to divorce. I could definitely see me being a backseat driver, trying to boss him around, and yelling when things get tense, which would pretty much be all the time in a competition.

I missed how cab drivers solved the clue. Please explain thanks

I’m bummed also. They were the nicest duo I have seen in awhile, next to Jet and Cord from past years.

The cab drivers for the other 3 teams were in cahoots. The cab driver that knew where to go phoned the other cab drivers and told them the correct location.

Turns out that the snowboarders were actually the only team that found the clue the right way (in the skirt).

Glad you explained crizello. I think I stepped out to get clothes from the dryer when that happened. When I sat down I heard Amani say something about they were going in a different direction because their cab driver had gotten a call from another cab driver, but I thought they were still all going to the Balboa statue until I saw the end race to Phil. That really is unfair.

Actually, the other way to find the correct pitstop location was from the picture of the building in the metal adornments on the dancers. That’s how Jeremy and Sandy got to the correct location and came in first.

I don’t feel too bad for the snowboarders. While a cool $1Mill is nice, they did win six legs with prizes. I don’t remember any season where one team won that many legs. But I do think the cabbies calling each other was not right. It was a weird turn of events. If Ernie and Cindy and Marcus and Amani had both gone to the Balboa statue, the snowboarders would have beat them to the pit stop.

Anyway, looking forward to next week. Remember how the season started - several rock stars (football player, snowboarders, survivor winners, and boy who sailed around the world) and two of the three remaining are just “regular people”.
