The "Bag A Week" Club

Ex-h was here yesterday. (He came to see our younger daughter during her less-than-a-day-long visit.) He commented about the absence of tools and I said I had given many of them away. (They became mine when he didn’t remove them, per the divorce judgment.) He took a few others, for which I am grateful. He pooh-poohed my plan to get a dumpster to use for disposal of many large, useless items that remain in the house. Our time together was fine, but it definitely reminded me why “stuff management” was such a difficult issue while he was still living here.

I’m downsizing to “a drawer a week”. Every weekend I will have one drawer removed from its glides, dumped, wiped out, and contents sorted.

A friend who likes to collect junk hinted that we will be named in her will… Horrors. May she live a very, very long and healthy life!!!

Gardening day today. Mr. took apart the old bunny hutch. Yay!! I tossed a bunch of old plastic pots.

Gardening day! That sounds wonderful! Can you plant anything yet?

I don’t want to be in the will of a collector!!!

LOL, there is a remedy for unwanted gifts - disclaimer.

I can probably plant some hardy stuff, but I have to wait until the next spring because we might be selling the house this summer… if we get the other one later this month.

Just found out D and FSIL will move here in July 2018.
While visiting in Boston I bought them a tablecloth. Yikes, I did get rid of many this year.
So now I will be able to designate a few item for them for when they move here.
IF they had moved here 2 years ago I could just about have supplied them with everything…
:-B
But no regrets

@oregon101, lucky you! I’m very jealous! Both my kids are a one-stop plane ride away.

Cleaning my desk. Over 30 Bed Bath Beyond coupons!

I got rid of a bunch but still have a ton!

Funny is that I just checked my mailbox and another coupon to add to the pile.

Can’t you get rid of half of those coupons and still have plenty?!!!

This weekend cleaned the closet and drawers after winter. A bag in the trash, a bag to donate.

I certainly wouldn’t get rid of them. If you buy new towels – let’s say four sets of bath, hand, washcloth – you’ll need 12 coupons right there.

Clearly I’m not a BBB shopper!

Clearly I’m not a BBB shopper but I know if I get rid of them I’ll suddenly need them. I moved them to the back pocket of my car.
H is skiing for a few days and I’m planning to clear out clutter while he is away.

I keep them in my glove box. I give them to friends. I hand them out when I shop there.
I love that they never expire. I do not shop there often but love their policies.

Gearing up for some serious junk removal in the next couple of months!

^^Hoping that is a hopeful sign of things to come for Mr. and Mrs. BB!!!

98 books are in boxes and ready to go to the library for the annual book sale.

Signed up for trash service at the new digs and disposed of a good chunk of the “presents” that were left for us in the garage.

I spent a little time in our garage this week, and filled more than half of our recycling bin.
