At first, I was annoyed when the dog threw up on the rug by the front door, but after I decided to throw it away instead of clean it, I realized that I hope she pukes a few more times, on other things I no longer like.
^ @rosered55 - I can send my dog over to help
@rosered55 Love it.
Maybe I can send in the cats?
Rugs are puke targetsā¦
Started cleaning out the garage - getting rid of those outdoor toys which my grown daughter will never use again (plastic sled, sidewalk chalk, etc.) Due to my townās garbage regulations can only put out two pails a week. SInce, we usually fill one pail with our household garbage, I can only do āa pail a week.ā I already have three weeks worth of garage garbage ready to go.
@kiddie, is there a town dump/landfill/recycling center at which you can drop stuff off?
Unfortunately, the town facility is only for recycling of styrofoam, electronics, and seasonally, yard waste. I will just have to be patient.
We had that happen last spring when we started clearing out outdoor toys and useless sports equipment. It took us 3-4 weeks to be able to put it into our weekly trash. DH, whose very impatient, did not like that delay, but itās all gone now.
When I cleaned the garage big time I just put it ALL out at once (even though we have similar regulations). Most of it disappeared before garbage day even came around.
W put our extra out and if they can they take it and charge a small amount.
Cleaned 5 drawers yesterday.
We put two antique dressers in the garage about 2 months ago and are waiting for decent weather
to sell them. Almost time!
Like gouf78, I have had success sometimes with putting extra things out early and having them disappear. It depends on where you are. My neighbors often have āfreeā signs out before trash day. Also see a lot of people putting kids stuff on next-door.com these days, letting people know the things will be out on the curb for the taking.
Agreed. If there is stuff you donāt want but is still usable, please consider putting it on freecycle, or offering it up for free elsewhere. Keeping anything out of landfills is a good thing.
The stuff we trashed was unusable. Things like mud-caked soccer cleats, deflated balls, broken toys. We donated a slew of baseball bats, other soccer gear, bikes, etc.
Do bags of leaves out of the flower beds count on here?!! One GIANT bag stuffed and stomped in the trash! Hello spring!!
Iām concentrating on de-leafing the flower beds, too.
I spent several days this week purging a relativeās house. 65 bags filled. 4 for donating, the rest are garbage. Itās been a long-term project and is finally now getting to the parts that are quite rewarding. I came home and (as usually happens) cleaned out six kitchen drawers immediately. Watch out when I get in this mode⦠It will all go!
OMG I so need to get back into this. My house needs to be emptied,
When I emptied my Momās place after she died, you cannot be nostalgic, Just get rid of stuff,
The garage, the basement and an upstairs bedroom need to be cleaned out.
Motivate me folks.
Especially the upstairs bedroom.
We will be moving to the new place in June⦠I told Mr. he is not moving anything there unless it gets my royal blessing. Period.
Mr. took apart the old rabbit hutch and tossed the pieces in the garbage⦠It was not that much work. The blasted thing just fell apart. Worst $100 we ever spent. The rabbit was free - someoneās Easter bunny dumped in our yard. It lived, ate, and pooped in our house for almost 7 years. Not bad for a bunny.
