I gave away my first Buy Nothing thing from the nearby group I recently joined. It was baby shower decor. It sat on the site for 2 weeks with no interest….I was debating whether to donate to a nearby thrift. But someone reached out a couple of days ago and she picked it up yesterday - she was thrilled and so was i.
I was able to successfully talk my daughter (in her 20’s) into giving up about half of her stuffed animals (she has accumulated hundreds of them over the years).
Four large bags of mostly new (many still have tags on) were donated to an organization that will distribute them to under privileged children.
