@hopeless>> DHONGSSS>>> my SAT scores are slightly BELOW da range for ma top choices um still takin da risk!!! so lemme b hopelesss, u can b hopefull now :p>>> Yess miraclesss miracless we all need demm>>

SAT scores won’t make or break anyone of us.

So gear up people, make your application count and write some a**-kicking essays. if your SATs are around 50th percentile then you are comfortable. Say the 50th percentile is 1900 and your score is 1880, adcomms won’t discriminate you because of a 20 point score difference because the 20 point difference probably came from 1-2 mistakes.

hopeless. please don’t cry :p

@ arif: If I were you, I would send a note of apology. That should fix it.

@arif-also give me an apology note! DHONGSSS?? LOL. & stop messing around with girls(for eg, me & ur MIT interviewer.) anyway, i am glad that ur prob is solved! & yeah…just joking.

DarthSpawnus- wat makes u thnk i am gonna sit back & cry?? I am just down…thats it. thnx 4 ur advices.:)

@arifxlr8 Dude. Relax. Go watch kolaveri di. I don’t think others’ stats are going to be of any help to any of us. For all I know, your stats are good enough for most schools.

I am looking forward to major in Physics. SATs are nothing like the over achievers here in CC but then again people have got into the top 10 national universities and the LACs with our SAT scores. Average score of a well rounded Bangladeshi student (well rounded here means good academics, decent SATs, good ECs and essays) would be in the 1950-2150 range).

@ arif: admission is a crap shoot. You don’t what is going to happen. Other people’s stats don’t tell their stories that made them unique so comparing yourself with them is pretty fruitless. Eatyoualive is right.

Hey guys, hows everything going? Any fellow Nov 19th SAT II sitters, how did u score? And are the SAT I results out yet? Btw, I sent in my application to Berkeley and Davis (just scraped the deadline phew) so pray for me guys :)

@hopelesss>>> Yess i HAVE to stop thinkin gals r BOYS>> its a bad habitt>> yess just scheduled my interview @Darth nd eatualive>>> yeahh sorry abt da freakin out, i had just calculated dat my SATS fall short of almost 300marks from MITs average, im thinkin of retaking in Jan, although nt sure if it will helpp
@Maiyshaa>> I gavee nov 19th SAT IIs>> Physics 750, Math II 780>> wat abt u??? if ur frm chittagong i shud hav been sittin in da same room in CGS>>>

@arif: Congrats!! yeah we probably were, but I didn’t recognize any1 there…which school are u from? I gave 3, phy, math n chem, n mashallah scored 800 in all three I really needed that boost @Darth: I do need financial aid, but Berkeley’s always been a dream school, n I wanted to give it a shot. um going to apply for as many scholarships as I can find, n hopefully the uni itself might offer some. I wrote a pretty appealing essay.

@ arif: it will help. MIT accepts Jan scores. Also once you are done with essays and application you will have almost entire January to prep for SAT. Hope you do well next time!

No! Would I have this much trouble if I were a US resident? My Dad says he’s gonna look into private scholarships, while I search for them online. Dad has promised that if I don’t get in anywhere else, he’s ready to pay for Berkeley, as long as I chip in too. They do give scholarships to internationals, albeit really tiny percentages
