dude, thats the fact ‘who cares’ !! If we really care, then we shouldn’t aim to become a Barney Stinson
:D

we arent allowed to take them before 11th grade. and this year i couldnt participate in any olympiad(broke my leg badly, was stuck in bed for 1.5 months). next year for me.

don’t worry dude… In our country, we got the national prizes…but thats all. No sponsor for International Olympiads except IPho and IMO :(

I love Raj… just putting it out there…

and yeah, TBBT stereotypes everyone:blondes, engineers, nerds and Indians. Thats why its so much fun… lol…

I love the big bang theory and specially SHELDON!

@RoughE you missed ‘idiots’ like all of penny’s boyfriends(except leonard of course) and ‘superhero costume parties’…xD

@amyharvard lol amy likes sheldon
:D

Guyz, any acceptance letter today?
Um excited to hear good news.

remember when sheldon got emotional while learning to act from penny for $40 an hour? “I love you, mommy. I love you. I love you.”

Guys, I see a lot of you are talking about olympiads. I have participated in two of them so far, both in mathematics. At the first one, i got a certificate only for participation. And at the second one, I got the bronze medal in Bangladesh National Maths Olympiad. Would that really help (no international awards, though)?

ok enough of TBBT. i guess i was disrupting the flow of this thread. sorry guys & gals. forgive me.

@NP:
My case is a bit strange. I graduated from High School last Aug (2011). I intended to take a gap year and thus decided to take some college courses. However, the education system here is different than it is in US. Here, you have to take the admission test of an university, even if you do not intend to earn a degree and do the college courses instead. Thus I took it and here I am doing the courses but still intended to not graduate from this college as I only enrolled myself at here just to get an edge on research.

@Decibel obviously it will help you. boy, it will help you a lot! a bronze! that too national! man you dont know the advantage you’ll be having over the other bangladeshis!

@akashdip: no harm done. :)

oh i forgot to mention in the details that i got into DU in november and the classes began this march. still was involved in productive EC’s.

Decibel,thats really great,bronze medal in National math olympiad,thats a huge achievement.do mention it on your extracurricular activity.

@Decibel are you sure that you wont be counted as a transfer applicant? idk much about it though.

@Amyharvard and akashdip:
thanx. :)

btw guys it’s almost 29th March. I heard most unis publish their decisions on this day. Good luck to the fighters in advance. If any of you get in (insha-Allah you will), please, do enlighten us (future applicants) on the admission issue.:D

@akashdip: i don’t know tht or sure. colleges say that the applicants can take college courses in advance. this is what i did but the system is different. I mailed the admissions offices of some colleges tonight on the matter. Let me wait for their decisions! What do you think?

Decibel will be counted as a transfer applicant if he applies next year, since he enrolled as a freshman at DU. Of course, you can choose not to share this information with colleges, but that would be breaking the honesty clause of the Common App. Most colleges don’t bother to check, but if they do find out about it, they will deny/rescind admission, and could blacklist the applicant.

ohh, and one more thing…
