I just got back from a Next Step Reception in my area for admitted students and they gave us free U of M beach towels! They’re so pretty (dark blue with the Michigan logo on it but we were warned to wash them before using them or we would turn blue)!!! However, when I got home, our dog saw it, and now he wants it and thinks it’s his. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. I haven’t seen him THAT wild about something in quite a while!

Also, we heard something about Meijer Madness. Would anybody like to elaborate on this?

If I recall correctly, Meijer Madness takes place during welcome week for freshman. Basically they run busses from the dorms to Meijers so you can buy the few things you forgot or didn’t realize you need.

howd you hear about the next step reception?

Michigan originally sent me a postcard inviting me to one, and when I didn’t say I was going right away, they sent me an e-mail reminding me to sign up because the spaces were filling.

Thanks for responding, boysmom.

Reese you are instate right?
I’m assuming they don’t have a Next Step Reception in Vermont then? Is there any way I can check this?

Yes, I’m in state, and I think they’re just for us in-staters.

Here’s the web site if you want to check it out though.
