My D applying RD to get her 1st semester grades through and is concerned with the ED acceptances and their impact on the RD pool. Is there any info yet about the percentage of the fall class that is or expected to be filled by ED/EA applicants? I think this is the first year for UMich to offer ED - is that right?

Yes, it’s the first year, and no they did not release anything of that nature. There will also be EA acceptances between now and the RD deadline, and at least some of those will of course matriculate.
Are you IS or OOS, and is DD’s high school a place that sends kids to UMich?
OOS. Small school (50 in class). They send a kid or two every year or so.
Good news in that regard. Does your school provide access to Naviance or similar data? You’d be able to see how your DD compares to prior admits. Not that that’s a simple formula or guarantee, but will help you know how competitive she is.

That is what you’re up against than. If you’re student is above the norm of who they send to Michigan or at that level then that is good. They do follow the students accepted to gauge long term performance and outcomes.
