<p>Haha, I’d throw myself in there too, Cornellians are always getting in flame wars with Brown, Penn, and Dartmouth. I definitely agree with Michigan and Berkely, they always channel Rodney Dangerfield “I don’t get no respect”. Oh please, it’s Cornell that gets no respect on here</p>

You’re confusing bragging with defending. Most of those schools get bashed fairly frequently on CC (extremely frequently, in the case of WUStL and Duke). Defending a school is not the same as sending propaganda.</p>
<p>When I think of “homers,” I think of people who promote their school unprovoked. This is not a bad thing in moderation, since they obviously know more about those schools than we do.</p>

<p>IB dont forget pierre(numbers)- he promotes clemson whenever he gets the chance and recommends it, not a bad thing, he obviously has school pride, its just something i noticed.</p>

<p>Time and again, Dukies go on the offensive and attack what they perceive to be so-called “lesser” schools, such as Cornell, Michigan, Northwestern, etc. That’s why students and alums of superior schools (e.g. HYPS) need to put the Dukies in their place. Otherwise, more and more Dukies are going to go out of control like, say, ring<em>of</em>fire.</p>

<p>seriously, UC Irvine is an ok school, but it’s not better than SD, Santa Barbara or Davis except for its humanities department, so shut up already.</p>
<p>The Florida homers crack me up. I recently moved to Seattle and have noticed that the UW alums and fans aren’t nearly as bad as the UF people. UW is a superior school, yet there aren’t “homers” on here (or in person) constantly trying to claim “public ivy” status. I’ve noticed this behavior from Florida students/alums/fans on other sites as well.</p>
