The bits of kindness that make the world go round.

What are some nice things you do? Doesn’t matter how small or silly it is.
For me, I always leave the toilet seat down. I also use my turn signals when driving.

I pay the toll for the person behind me. It is only .50-$1 more for me and I like to think it makes that person’s day better.

I always give advice when people ask me for it. I remember a few years ago I emailed a billionaire hedge fund king(actually emailed his company) asking for advice about going into the business field. He gave me his cell number and talked to me on the phone for 30 minutes about life. The opportunity cost on his time could have been $10,000.

For me, that was the ultimate show of respect to another person. For that reason, any person, no matter who they are, can come to me for advice. And I’ll do the best I can to help them. And I will be the same way all throughout my life. Even if I’m eventually “important” in the eyes of others, I will never see myself as more important than anyone else.

lol opportunity cost. econ.

^^That’s actually incredible. What an awesome person.

That is awesome. My faith in finance people has been partially restored. Um, sort of…

I like to leave sticky notes in random public places (bathroom stalls, mirrors, library books, walls etc.) that say things like “You’re Awesome.” “You’re Beautiful” “Make Today Count”

Wow, that’s really nice.

Ha ha. I like to leave anonymous notes for people having a bad day. Or bake them cookies or whatever. The other day I couldn’t resist the urge to do it publicly though, because the cupcakes I made turned out so cool–rainbow. And the girl I made them for just about started crying she was so excited. :D

I go to Togo’s and Subway quite often so I leave reasonably large tips.

I give at least one deliberate compliment a day to someone I wouldn’t usually compliment.

Someone did it for me once, and it just made me so happy for the rest of the day. I have been doing it since then

I show up.

lol jk. Hm, this thread makes me wonder what I should be doing for other people. I feel as if I’m not doing enough
