I was lucky enough to get tickets for Springsteen’s concert this Fri. He is playing the whole album - Darkness at the Edge of Town. D2 is coming with us. She is really excited. Quite a few of her friends are going with their parents also. They all seem to think the boss is very cool. We have seats so close to the stage.

My favorite song is Rosalita, and favorite video is “Springsteen in Barcelona.” I watched on Youtube of Springsteen and U2 tonight (Stand by Me). My favorite memory is a few summers ago when my whole extended family were stranded on an island up in Maine with no TV or internet, we decided to play “name that tune” by Springsteen. All of our kids (ages from 8 to 18) knew the songs better we did.

My dh and I saw him a few weeks ago in Greenville, SC. What an awesome concert! So energetic and fun! He looked like he was having the best time of everyone there. He came out into the crowd several times. We had bought a ticket for our 15 year old, but he had a night time class for his AP US History and refused to miss it! Huh! Who taught him priorities?

oldfort, i am very, very jealous. Hubby and I saw him in May in Charlottesville- smaller arena but a great show. I’ve got a 30 minute drive down the highway to work and have to admit to playing every Springsteen disc imaginable on the way to and from work. I can’t think of a song I don’t like.

DH and I saw him perform the “Born to Run” album, plus other songs, a few weeks ago in Chicago. It really took me back to my youth. As always, he was full of energy. I think he wore the crowd out a bit. He finished the night with “Rosalita” I’ve heard him perform songs from the “Darkness” album at various concerts. My favorite was “Candy’s Room” a few years ago. I had never heard him do it live. You are in for a treat!

bought my son tix to see him in Nashville for his 19th birthday. he is thrilled out of his mind which pleases me to no end. My boys used to watch our old Springsteen VHS video…and oddly enough my son’s fave of those videos is Atlantic City and One Step Back…ever since he was like in 2nd grade…

The Boss turned 60 this month and was on the cover of our AARP magazine. :):)

I would have loved to hear Darkness from front to back…cool.

I’ve seen him 4 times. The last time he did *Thunder Road *as an encore…I was breathless.

Remember the *Dancin’ in the Dark *days…even if you were sitting the top deck of the stadium, you secretly hoped he’d pick you to come on stage.

In late '92-early '93 Bruce played the Bronco Bowl in Dallas - a very small venue. Tickets went on sale the day I gave birth…a couple of days later my sister called, not to cogratulate me on the baby, but to ask me if I’d gotten Springsteen tickets for us…alas, with the 8 am c-section, I couldn’t quite fit it into the day, so she was quite disappointed in me.

Man, I’m going to miss this! I wish I’d known about the Darkness thing this Friday; I had opportunities for tickets, but I decided to be good this time (have seen him close to 15 times, starting at the old Carleton Theater in Red Bank in the 70s). Dang! Darkness is my favorite S album, too.

took our DD last year to a Bruce concert. Although she always grudgingly admitted she liked his music, she was reserved in her appreciation. A couple of songs into the concert she had donned her new t-shirt and was singing along with great abandon. She is now a true believer.

I saw him at the Palais des Sports in Paris in April, 1981. Great show. Who knew he’d still be such a sensation 28 years later? Wish I’d saved my ticket.

My brother is a huge Springsteen fan. He’s got tickets for Saturday night. He also has an ongoing medical condition that he knew would require major surgery. He originally scheduled it for next week. The surgeon thought better and he had the surgery several days ago. He won’t be out of the hospital for the concert (he’s fine). All of his well-meaning, Bruce-loving siblings are dying to know who’s going to get the tickets!

Have tickets for Saturday night - just found out that he’s playing “Born in the USA” in entirety. I saw that tour when the album came out. I’ve seen him many many times, and he’s always nothing less than spectacular. However, I sure wish it was the “Born to Run” night.

As for Springsteen’s kids … he toured my son’s college with his son a few years ago. The rumor was that the school was his son’s first choice, but then he opted to go elsewhere. We were bummed.

His son goes to a school with my kid’s friend. He uses a different last name than his dad. My kid’s friend and him became friends when he was a freshman, but didn’t know who he was. One day he said, “My parents are coming into town, they would like to take some of my friends out to dinner.”(perfectly normal) It wasn’t until she walked into the restaurant to realize who they were. She then tried to text all of her friends.

Concert was amazing. Bruce actually body surfed his way back to the stage after being in the crowd during Hungry Heart! (You can see the video if you search for it on You Tube.)

Played the best rendition of Kitty’s Back that I’ve ever heard.
