Don’t tell people that.

And CC has lots of standards, but that doesn’t make them right.

Don’t tell people that.

And CC has lots of standards, but that doesn’t make them right.

Ben and Jerry’s chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream is the bomb.

Well sure.

I’m trying to sell my father on Scripps, and if he likes it enough then my mother will just sigh and go “Whatever.” And then I win. But so far all he’s said is “That’s kind of close to Liberal Land, isn’t it?”, to which I replied very carefully so idk.

YOUR PARENTS VOTED FOR MCCAIN.

I said it.

Don’t settle for Scripps. If you want to go to one of the other four, go for it. I doubt Harvey Mudd is for you, but Pomona, Claremont McKenna, and Pitzer are all fine for you.

What is your GPA, thereabouts?

I got accepted to Kenyon, and their aid offer was good. But I’m not sold on the place.

What is sad is that Ohio Wesleyan gave me a full tuition scholarship plus $1,500, and their offer is still worse than Kenyon’s which only gave me $5,000 in merit money and the rest in need-based money. Hopefully that bodes well for UChicago.

Actually, you could say that the Claremont area is conservative. I don’t know that it really is, but some of the affluent areas in southern California are conservative.

I know they did, yak.

My mother is just massively disappointed that I’ve shown so little interest in Harvard, so as long as it doesn’t cost a small fortune to go there, I’m golden.

Stupid SAT IIs. Why do I realize these are important now?

I hate getting home at 7 every day. It sucks. A great deal.

Don’t worry, you’re in calc so take Math II, and you’re in chem so take chem, and then take Latin. 'Cause pesky Harvard requires three. Easy.

And, maybe I’ll apply to Pomona too. Double dipping and all that.

My GPA is 4.0 straight up because I and my school have no idea what weighting is. I have a 99.5 numerical, which is kind of irrelevant because grades are inflated because no one cares. But I mean, I doubt I’ll get in anywhere “prestigious.” Just a feeling. I don’t have that many committed ECs.

Oh, and I have no idea what’s going on in chem. So Latin, US history, and math whatever.

SAT chem is so easy compared to AP chem. If you study for that, you’ll be ready for the SAT exam.

But yeah, US history might be better. Your call.

99.5 is ridiculous.

It kind of is. AP classes get 5 pts added to quarter grades, and honors get 3. So. Yeah.

I know more history. I need to register for the next two SAT dates for history and Latin, and I’ll take math in fall and I’ll faint from panic in the next two minutes.

Why don’t you take history and Latin in one day? If you’re at the AP level in Latin, I’m sure you’re already good enough to do the SAT now.

You can do that?

I know nothing about the SAT.

Yes, it would save you money. You could even take all three on the same day, but I don’t know if you’re up for that. I wouldn’t be.

I would suggest taking two in May and then taking the SATI in June. That way, no matter what, you’ll have all the requirements down for most colleges. Apart from Harvard, because of the silly three subject test rule.

I’m not taking the SAT I.

Oh, okay, then you can take your time with everything.

I took three in the same day, but I did horribly on the last one. You don’t even know. Well, you probably do.

I was pretty sure Harvard now only requires two tests. I know Princeton still wants three. Maybe it was Yale that changed. It was one of the two.

You should probably take history and Latin first. Then go for Math II in the fall, since you’ll have had more calculus by then. I got a 730 on Math II without having any calculus at all, so you should be fine.

Ay caramba, newspaper.

Yale wants two now. I’m pretty sure Harvard still wants three. I’m really not sure. I don’t care about Harvard.

I’m taking SAT Chem in May. I’ve started reviewing some stuff, but I expect a high score. Chem is one of my best subjects. I’m kind of shakey with equilibrium, but all the equilibrium questions on the SAT are ridiculously simple. So no worries.

I was figuring that. And Harvard needs three, ugh.
