<p>My counselor is the definition of helpful. Though she is 100% clueless about US college applications and I had to sit with her for an hour to outline my battle plan.</p>

<p>Today Yale confirmed that all components of my application have been submitted and that all I need to do now is sit tight and wait.</p>

<p>I have gotten no confirmation of anything. Ah well. I know a dozen of my friends have already gotten into Auburn and LSU and UT Martin and god knows what else, but I get to wait until April. Super.</p>

<p>I have the day off tomorrow. I’m going to cram for my SAT, then do my homework, then make a list of everything I need to do for my applications. Oh god.</p>

<p>So, it has been confirmed that I will receive my decision from Yale on December 15. It’s sort of awful because I literally can’t stop thinking about it. Every day, when I write the date, I think of how close/far I am to the decision date and it’s just the worst thing in the world. However, it has been a full week since I submitted my application. So, I still have slightly under 6 weeks more to wait. </p>

<p>Studying for the SAT calms me down. It’s funny. Maybe it’s because I’m only taking it so I can be considered to be a National Merit Finalist. </p>

<p>I’m listening to the Spring Awakening soundtrack now. It calms me down too. Betcha didn’t think I was a soundtrack person.</p>

<p>The SAT is kind of relaxing. After a while, so little thought goes into it that it becomes, like, a 4 hour train ride in the English countryside or something.</p>

<p>It was kind of anticlimactic, though. I didn’t get an email or anything, I just checked my application status. And my first thought literally was, ‘Oh crap, I’m going to have to live in the worst dorm.’</p>

<p>But I’m ungrateful. Besides, you could’ve have gotten into your Canadian UT by now if you had applied.</p>

<p>Okay, the issue is that I CAN’T EVEN APPLY YET. Our silly online application system will be up an running in a couple of weeks, and until then, I am in limbo. However, I expect to get accepted to a couple of my safeties by mid-February. Hopefully.</p>
