I can’t look things up about studying abroad because then my list grows exponentially.

Harry Potter lives near London. Maybe in London. I intend on finding out.

I’ve seen Harry Potter.

Daniel Radcliffe and I have something in common. LOL.

WHAT. (To both the Washingtonian and Canadian.)

Snoop, are you a Daniel Radcliffe fangirl?

Snoopy, I was being a perv. No, I haven’t met him. But I’ve seen him. Omg no one understands.

DVR, ■■■■■.

Not particularly. I like Ron more.

I do know a Daniel Radcliffe fangirl, though. And Neville Longbottom. It’s unsavory.

You know who is savory? Emma Watson. lolol.

lolololyou’reright.

I’m going to bed. Goodnight.

I’m going to eat. Goodnight.

Doghouse.

Also, she’s a flygirl:

Rofl photoshop.

LOL.

I like thiscouldbehvn’s post count: 777.

I got the Trustee Distinguished Scholarship at Rice, 2/3 tuition. That makes it cheaper than state school. And they’re flying me out to visit. Christ, this complicates things.

Omg, congrats, Mike! That’s fantastic!

Thanks, Jolie. It looks like I’m going to be an owl, unless S, Y, or P comes through with some huge aid.

I’m so conflicted, my dad keeps telling me don’t make money a factor, but I don’t know how I can ignore the fact that I’d be asking my parents to pay $80,000-$100,000 more for my college, you know what I mean? I wish I just knew where the economy was going, lol.

I totally made my decision based on convenience [read: proximity]/money. It just made the most sense for me, I basically go to college for free. But then again, my only other options were USC and UW, basically. And ehhh…big crazy sports schools weren’t for me. And now I’m really, really happy to be at…my college. Haha secrets.

But I really don’t think Rice will be the last to give you a “Yes!” with perks, you know? Your doors aren’t done being opened.

See how nice I can be?

So nice.

Yeah, I think I’m just going to stop thinking about it until everything shakes out. It’s a nice option to have, though.

I love big crazy sports schools.

This I know, this I know. I just can’t deal with it. I seriously was born in the wrong country. I hate football more than almost anything else.

I’m so excited to see where you get in. ■■■■■. It’s ridiculous. I live vicariously through my CC pals during decision season. Pathetique.

Haha, I think everyone does that, I know I did last year. It’s a lot less scary when it’s not actually your decisions.

Tell me what small schools are like, Jolie.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, I have to leave Owl Days early because I have to be in court for a speeding ticket, ■■■■■.

■■■■■. You should tell the admissions officers that when they’re kissing your ass.

Small schools are hella bomb. Parties aren’t scary–like, they gave us a huge symposium thing on date rape at the beginning of the year and scared us all, but things like that really aren’t common here. Whereas at UW I’ve heard they get at least one report of that per weekend. ***.

Your professors know you, and know you well. Like my professors will remember little things, like for example, I had to take finals early last semester because of a family emergency. And my professor (who I was no longer taking classes from) came up to me second semester, after a month long winter break, and asked me how my family was, etc. There’s also a big emphasis on being about to explain how/why you know something. All of the exams are open-ended, no multiple choice really.

Being here has been the first time in my life I’ve actually felt like retaining information I learn in my classes, both because I have to, and because it actually interests me.

There are also a lot of opportunities to have leadership positions on campus at a younger age. The Greek life is a huge deal though. I think it’s a bigger deal when there is Greek life at small schools. It’s more inclusive and less cliche, but it’s still a big deal.

I could say more.
