The Cafe Watering Hole: PART DEUX

Oooh baby let’s do this. Do y’all want to do a throwback to my Q & A era?

@snoop: It’s really really good. I go back on Sunday and I’ll be done at the end of May. This month is going to be crazy though. A zillion parties and even a dance-off will be happening.

Lol, sorry Jolie, I’m going to have to take a rain check, I’m going out to celebrate with some other potential future wildcats.

Tomorrow, I’ll drag up the old Q&A thread.

Right now, I shall drag it up. Maybe.

No no, it no longer exists.

And even if it did, I don’t want it to resurface.

Hokay.

Parks and Recreation looks alright.

Say what?

I hate waiting for phone calls. It makes me feel like I’m a freckly 13 year old schoolgirl.

Hmm.

You were a freckly 13 year old schoolgirl once?

I probably should have applied to Northwestern. But I figured I’m more UChicago’s type. And it’s a whole half hour closer to Ohio.

I wish my county had a really good university. I probably still wouldn’t go there, but the advantages of having a university nearby are tremendous. I live in an academic dead zone.

So I’m going to Chicago tomorrow.

I live near a state university. It sucks.

It probably would suck to live near a big state university that has a serious lack of good students. There are a few of those sort of close to here. I’m talking about a medium-sized research university, like Rice, Case Western, Tulane, or MIT. Sure, that’s a wide range of schools, but they’re kind of similar. Ish.

I live close to three universities. LOL.

lol.

I think I’m going to write an essay for the Holocaust Remembrance Project.

I did that two years ago. My essay was way better than some of the third place winners. Whatever.

How does a sociopath write a successful graduation speech?

I came out the womb a 21 year old sass pot, so. No. And I only have like 4 freckles on my nose.

That song that Edward and the pale girl dance to at the end of Twilight is sopretty.

I remember reading Entertainment Weekly a year ago and they said that MGMT will be the next big band. And they kind of are. Everyone at my hipster school loves them.

They’re not abd but they have those two songs. So. Okay.

I don’t think I would want to be a sass pot.

I think you would/should/will.

Omgomgomgizzlelollersk8zroflcopter. UChicago is absolutely perfect. I was a bit skeptical of the neighborhood, but now that I’ve visited, it’s AWESOME.

Then I got home and I had a letter. I got a merit scholarship from UChicago. Just today, the admissions counselor with whom I spoke said that they only give 200 or so merit scholarships per year, and I really didn’t think I would be the type to get one. But I did. The only thing left is the need-based aid. If it works out, I’m so going to UChicago.

By the way, two of the tour guides were Asian twin girls from Toronto. So I’ve met real live Canadians now.

That’s really great, jb! Were the Asian twins hip?

I went out tonight even though I felt sick and now I feel sicker and my eyes are extra watery from borrowed mascara. I probably got herpes.
