The Cafe Watering Hole: PART DEUX

You might want to put down UT if they give money for NM Finalists. You always say you’re going there.

And you don’t need to show interest through National Merit. You show interest by applying.

Rofl:

"Dear [rockermcr],

Do you know what you need? Walsh University."

Who wrote that? One of your hip teachers? Or junk mail?

I don’t mind that stuff, except for when I get it from the military. “Two free movie tickets if you sell your soul to us!!!1” Ugh. I place more value on my sanity than $16 for two movie tickets.

Hahah. In my recent Wikipedia ventures, I discovered that Walsh University is in Ohio. I’ve never heard of it before. At all. That just goes to show you how obscure it is.

I should open a sandwich shop.

Lady Gaga is the spawn of Satan.

Yes you should. How very chicagoan of you.

If sandwiches define Chicago, what defines Toronto?

My town is defined by conservatives.

Just Dance, ba da be da boop do do doo da Just DANCE dance dance ju ju ju ju just dance

If I were a true Chicagoan, I would have a polish sausage stand.

There is actually a very, very good sandwich place 5 minutes from my school. It is right beside an independent coffee shop that is named after an animal. I won’t say which, though, 'cause it’s kind of “a big deal” here.

I feel extremely busy and I hate it. I can feel all of these silly obligations weighing down on me and I can’t wait till July, when I will be free once more. Semi-free, really. But still.

A town near me has one bank for every 1,000 people. Ridiculous.

My favorite deli makes sandwiches like this.

bread
bread
bread

meat
meat

UT and Rice, then.

Rice is tasty. Not the school.

I love rice. That’s all I ate for dinner tonight.

My ideal sandwich goes

bread
bread
lettuce
lettuce
red peppers
(meat)
pepperoni
lettuce
bread

I don’t have a favorite deli. Mostly because those are rare in these here parts.

I emailed the lady who wrote The Overachievers and she emailed me questions for her new book. I’M GOING TO BE FAMOUS.

I’m a nerd.

For real? lololol.

My favourite sandwich is pretty great but I won’t join the little bandwagon we’ve created.

The naming of organic molecules is simply ridiculous.

What’s her new book going to be about?

This Here Blasphemy: The Tale of the Brave Snoopyiscool in the Southern Wilderness

I can see it now.

I…I think you just gave me the title of my screenplay, yak. You, wily Canadian, are going in my Oscar speech.

Instead of the academic pressure, social pressures. I think it’ll be better. When I was reading The Overachievers the more I kept thinking “These are rich whitey’s problems.” No offense, rich whiteys.

I don’t think I fall into that category? Well, maybe I do. Bleck. But social pressures are a much bigger problem than academic pressure. Outside maybe 5% of the students in the US, there is little to no academic pressure. Social pressure affects everyone.

I think I need to marry someone who doesn’t speak English so my parents don’t pry too much.

I hear good things about Eastern Europeans, jb.

I’m up for that. I want an EU passport. I just don’t want a girl who’s way taller than I am. Since I’m only 5’5", that would be awkward.
