<p>I should really stop being poetic and get to the point.</p>
<p>Dancing around the issue with flashy prose is how I wrote my way through high school, not sure it would work for IB though.</p>
<p>I just went to the library and have a gigantic stack of books to read.</p>
<p>I must hide my work for fear of being accused of plagiarism.</p>
<p>Well done, sir. I have pages and pages on this computer that say absolutely nothing about the literature they’re supposedly commenting on. It’s a beautiful thing, really.</p>
<p>I see no well done thing. </p>
<p>I dance around with flashy prose for no reason. It’s not like I have anyone to impress at school.</p>
<p>My favorite essay like that is my feminist Taming of the Shrew essay. I used it as an experiment to see how high MS Word would say the reading difficulty goes. I just threw in all the big words I could think of, and I averaged at something like 25 words per sentence. It’s so much fun to write like that.</p>
<p>It was my first 100 on a paper in a long time. I think I said all this before, but whatevah.</p>
<p>On that facebook ethnicity quiz I’m supposed to be Indian. I’m not sure what that means.</p>
<p>The Facebook nationality quiz, I’m supposed to be Italian.</p>
<p>I like to answer a certain way so I know what the result will be. Those quizzes are so predictable.</p>
<p>Is there a particular reason that the plural of quiz is quizzes?</p>
<p>You could pass as such.</p>
<p>I’m going to speak Spanish like a native one day.</p>
<p>I almost don’t have an accent when I speak Spanish. But I still don’t speak it that well. I’d say I’m halfway to being fluent, maybe slightly more. French helps so much.</p>
<p>I don’t have much of an accent with Spanish, or so my Spanish friend says. But, in a similar way, I’m not that good at speaking. I think speaking is a bit underemphasized in language courses.</p>
<p>Firefox is telling me that underemphasized is not a word, but I think it is.</p>
<p>And French certainly doesn’t help you with your accent in Spanish.</p>
<p>…I want to learn Russian now instead of French.</p>
<p>I never said that French helps me with my accent, and “I don’t speak it that well” had no relation to the actual act of speaking. </p>
<p>I’m pretty good at speaking in Spanish, though. That’s where French comes in handy. So many of the words are really similar that I can just fish things out of French and use them for Spanish. It works, most of the time.</p>
<p>I find it easy enough to do that with English, but I suppose French is a bit more helpful.</p>
<p>I kind of feel like taking French is a bit like selling out. I’m not a Frenchy person.</p>
<p>I’d say far more than “a bit,” but okay.</p>
<p>Tomorrow is my last day of school, fiiiinally.</p>
<p>Yes, finally. That’s not too bad. I thought Canada went a lot longer than the US, but not really. Students on the East Coast here won’t get out for another week or two.</p>
<p>Maybe I could take a look at German.</p>
<p>Is there such a thing as an intensive polyglot class?</p>
<p>I wish.</p>
<p>No, I still have finals. I officially end on the 22nd of June. Tomorrow’s just the last day of classes.</p>
<p>And then I will officially be a senior no way.</p>

<p>I just really can’t decide which language will be useful to me. Since I’m the stereotypical yuppie wannabe, I want to study in Europe, so either French or German would suffice there. I’d really rather not study in Russia, but the language, history, and literature are interesting. I prefer not to be a victim of one of those suspicious apartment fires that frequent Russian cities. I see Chinese as useful for an econ major, but I don’t want to study there, and the culture doesn’t interest me as much.</p>
<p>I’m rambling about something no one can help me decide.</p>
<p>I’m going to learn Spanish and study abroad in London.</p>
<p>I’m so average.</p>
<p>According to Stuff White People Like, if you study in Africa, you are the most advanced type of white person. So you should go with South Africa.</p>
