Some of my silly teachers requested that we have classes this afternoon just so they could start everything faster, so I had to stay longer than I thought I would. And I have a lot of French homework. On the first day.

Haha. Hahahhaha. MWAHHAHAHAHAH!!! I should soooooo write a paper on this just to discredit my English teacher. I’m finally free from all those nonsense rules that make English impossible.

It’s hard for me to measure how much homework I have. I’m a multitasker, so it usually takes me several hours to do even the simplest homework. What takes me forty minutes to do at school can take two hours at home. I’m weird.

I have to read Kafka’s biography and write a bunch of stuff about it. Then I’m supposed to look through a photocopy of a silly graphic novel about his life. Then I’m supposed to read this thing about what influenced him as a writer. It’s silly. The Metamorphosis seems really stupid and I have to start reading it this week. Silly.

Rocker, you’re probably getting really tired of all this politico business by us silly Americans. That is, if you even read the other posts outside the Watering Hole anymore.

Silly silly silly silly silly.

I never get to read anything cool for class. My English classes usually read one novel each year as a whole class, and then the students read one novel on their own. That’s it. The rest of English is just a bunch of BS.

Why do you say that? Finances? Parents? You could always go to UT for a couple years, and then transfer to Toronto to be with our Canadian friend.

I’m drinking this peach mango juice stuff that’s supposed to be fortified with vitamins. It’s really sweet, and therefore, it’s making me really hot. My room thermometer says 87 degrees already (31 for you Canadians), so I really don’t need any more heat at this point.

You can’t transfer to a place that doesn’t exist, you know.

Because I can’t justify to myself that going somewhere for $40,000 is worth much more than a near full ride to UT. My parents don’t make enough money. I’d feel too bad. But it’s all right. I know at least two of my friends are going. And I can focus on grad school.

Apply to schools with really good FA then. If your parents don’t make that much then schools like ivies, Stanford, other top privates, etc. should be really cheap or free. I’ve looked into it quite a bit, since my dad’s teaching salary isn’t going to provide the $40,000/yr for me either.

I like politics of every kind, so I don’t mind all of the threads about the election. I just think it’s kind of funny that American politics are based so much on character. Someone could have a better platform than Obama but still lose just because Obama is more “exciting” and “cool.”

I like Broken Beads by The New Pornographers. It’s such a weird song, but I like it anyway. I also like Swallowed In the Sea by Coldplay.

I will be applying to schools that offer good financial aid, but I have Ohio State on my list anyway. I would be shocked if I didn´t at least get full tuition. I should be able to get room and board, too. I apologize for that apostrophe, as I have my Spanish keyboard turned on. Anyway, my parents seem to think I should live at home to go to my extremely sucky community college. I´m not going to let that happen.

I’ve been out pwning all the politics threads, but I’m done now. You guys can go read my glorious victory over AMom in one of those threads, lol.
