The Cafe Watering Hole

It’s like you don’t talk to guys or something. Every time I make the tiniest joke it’s “Jesus”, or “I want to slap you”.

It’s quite alright. I’m a drama queen, remember?

Drama queen, huh? I’ll keep that in mind.

So Pink sings that insipid song. Catchy.

I’m severely behind.

Get off CC. It’s a time suck.

Oh well. It’s not like I can do that much in less than 2 hours.

True. I have to write my own GC rec now. Good night.

Good night.

I hate my math teacher.

I just watched Ghost World. So weird. I swear I know people who dress just like Enid.

I just spent a half hour on YouTube learning French from some creeper dude.

But now I know how to say, “J’habite aux Etats Units.”

Something about that doesn’t look right. I wouldn’t be surprised if the French creeper dude misspelled it.

It’s

I knew it! I should have known when he said “Send videos of yourself learning the numbers.” Needless to say, I didn’t run for my camcorder. The old French creeper dude is a fraud!

My science teacher is ridiculously crappy. That’s why I didn’t bother to take a science this year. Hopefully colleges will understand that I did not take five sciences because my teacher was bad. I basically know nothing of Physics, which is sad since I took a whole year of it.

My French teacher thinks I understand Camus, which is surprising, because he doesn’t think anyone ever understands anything.

Camus is pretty deep. A few years ago, the junior class at my school (not my class) read The Stranger for English. The general consensus was that Camus was a lunatic. I live in a very conservative and traditional area, so the parts where Meursault says he’s an atheist were particularly awkward for them. Needless to say, the junior English class read The Scarlet Letter when I was in it. I did read The Stranger on my own, though. I wonder how well it translated.

It’s a pretty ridiculous book. It’s easy to analyze, though. Right now, I have to write about this passage from the part when he goes home and sits on his balcony after his mother’s funeral.

The reading list teachers choose from for this year is ridiculous.

sleeeepppyyyy

We had a debate today in my Theory of Knowledge class about nature vs. nurture, and we ended up spending most of the time discussing [David Reimer](David Reimer - Wikipedia).

In the Chicago Trib there’s an article about a man from Toronto who had depression so they put electrodes in his head. Is that how things are done in Canada.

Edit: That’s disgusting.

I watched a Dateline about that.

Nature wins.
