Tomorrow in philosophy we’re discussing this and its philosophical implications.

I like philosophy.

I didn’t read my chem book. Oh well.

The Thinker? You silly French Canadians.

I have nothing to add.

It says to tell stories, so i guess that’s what I’ll do.

Today, I went to Voodoo fest. I wanted to go today because REM and Cold War Kids were both playing, and I am a huge fan of both. During the CWK show, my friend who I went with got a call from his neighbor. He had a backstage pass he wanted to give to us. Seeing CWK from that close was amazing. I could literally see the sweat on the band members heads. Not to mention I had an unobstructed view of the stage for most of their set. Hands down the best concert experience of my life. Later we went to see REM. We were pretty far away from the stage (about 50 yds), but we still rocked out.

Screw the fact that I spent $100 throughout the day. The food and music were amazing and well worth it.

Cold War Kids are good.

Where does the good go?

By the time I’m done with college applications, I’ll be too stupid to attend any of them.

Wow, I agree with what this person in this thread in July.

No.

Virgil is exceedingly boring.

Haha, if you say so. I’ve never read any Virgil because I go to a crappy school. Anyway, one day I was telling my English teacher about all the different AP subjects, since we don’t have any at my school. She went bonkers when I said there’s an AP Latin Virgil course. Apparently she loves Virgil. I told her that all the reading is done in Latin, but she didn’t seem to care. Then someone came in the room and needed to make up a quiz or something, so that was the end of the conversation.

That was almost as interesting as the day explained the IB program to my guidance counselor. He said that the school administration has been considering adding AP courses, and I just decided to throw out the IB as an alternative. Since my school is getting a new building, this won’t happen any time soon, but it would be pretty awesome if my school could become a sort of rural IB experiment.

You should tell her that the ap test is only translating.

Parkman be crazy.

Seriously? That’s all it is? Latin is so stupid. In real languages, you have to read in the language and answer questions in that language. Then you have to write an essay in that language. I assume you don’t write essays in Latin? Wow, that’s so useless.

Well, plus questions and essays. But it isn’t as easy as you would think.

The IB is a pain in the ass for schools to start. I know that it took like 2-3 years for my school to finally be able to offer it, because all of the teachers need to be specially certified and trained, and then the school needs to be inspected and there are tons and tons of fees. And in the 10+ years my school has offered it, I think we’ve been audited like 5 times, because the silly IB organization is ridiculous.

I know that a lot of private schools in Canada start by offering AP and then switch to IB, because AP is a lot easier to offer at first than IB is.

Except for APCH. That would be impossible to offer. It would only use up a week of lessons.

If there’s no CH, there can’t be an APCH.

Touche.

Peter be dead.

AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH Peter be alive. Among others.

Heroes is officially absurd this season. I think the writers are doing illegal substances before each writing session.
