<p>But at the same time, it really helps you keep things in perspective… i mean, i know we always say that the kids who use CC are the top of the top, but just think about all of the brilliant students out there who don’t use CC and are still applying to top colleges. If you don’t get accepted, all you have to do is look at the threads to realize that it certainly wasn’t your fault… it’s just the sheer amount of incredibly talented and motivated people out there.</p>

<p>lol! I don’t actually remember lurking… I had an account on the old board since freshman year and made one of those, “Hi I’m a freshman and I’m doing this, this, and this. How do I look so far?” posts on the chances board. <em>embarrassed look</em> Well, throughout all of high school I’ve been more informed than most of the people around me…</p>

My name’s Laura, I go to a sort of average high school in Northern Texas (i.e. not the farmlands), although I’ve been denying it for years I’m probably your semi typical southern belle (but much nicer), I enjoy the finer things in life when I can get my hands on them… most specifically my designer bags. Those are my splurges in life. I love movies and my favorites right now would be Cinderella Man, I <3 Huckabees, and Kill Bill. I recently discovered the Starbucks mint mocha chip frap and its amazing, even though I hate coffee. I also like to get a little crazy on the weekends but you know, what else is there to do in the burbs of Dallas. Lol.</p>
