Well, notfadeaway, we will have to send out the UC apps (due end of November) and Stanford (Dec 15… I think?) anyway. Hehe it would be funny if we caught the mailman delivering our Princeton decisions just as we were walking out to mail the Stanford package…

The UCs process way too many applications, IMO. I remember someone who applied ED somewhere, got in, and withdrew his/her application to UCDavis. In March/April, s/he got an acceptance letter from Davis, technically a school s/he never applied to.

Glinda: yes, i’m looking at CAS… i assume you are too? I really really enjoyed the tour i had there. the thought of cornell would definitely take away the sting of deferall/rejection from princeton. :)

definitely count me in on this list… i’ll prolly concentrate in physics with certificate in math and another one in either jazz performance or finance

Just wanted to say good luck! Looking back, I sure woulda applied ED - much less stressful + the best school ;). Ask us questions if you have any!

yeah, i read about that callthecops (not that i’ve been lurking here forever or anything :p)… i was absolutely shocked that you were rejected. personally, i think you have a more than wonderful shot for this year, so good luck! :)

ThePolishDude, are you new to the forums? Or have you been around for a while unregistered? If you’re new, then welcome to the most potentially addictive, infuriating site on the web. And yet I don’t think any of us really regret joining… Welcome to the family.

Thank you! I have been looking at CC sporadically in the past but I decided to contribute something myself. I certainly don’t regret joining it either!

CC can be very discouraging and many times I’ve had to just step back and tell myself I am getting into college. But its resources definitely outweigh any self-esteem issues that may ensue as a result of too many hours spent on it.

Deffinitely. Although I am never jealous of anything anybody has, it is sometimes annoying to see CCers complain about (for example) SAT sections in upper 700s, etc. It makes you start thinking about what kind of student YOU should be.
