Indiana university, University of Michigan, and Elon or three that I know of who prescreen for academics at the same time they prescreen you artistically
@jollyballoon they did. She did audition on campus on Sat. for MT and acting . They told us they notify the YES and NO’s by the end of the week and if we hear nothing to assume we are still being considered until after all auditions are done.
We started our trip toward Chicago from Southern Indiana. Brief detour in Decatur Illinois tomorrow at Millikin for a scholarship interview and then on to Chicago. Sons first two auditions on Sunday. UNSCA & Millikin. So thankful the Polar Vortex has gone home!
@Jpkcmo - If I had been your college counselor, I would have advised your S to also apply to some actual Ivy’s. I am assuming his resume is full of involvement in theatre, etc. He would have presented as a high stats kid with incredible extra-curricular. Might even have a better shot at acceptance. ? Good luck to your boy!
My d auditioned for Ithaca last weekend and we were told they would hear by Friday if they were a no has anyone heard?
@penny1234 did they say if you don’t hear on that immediate Friday you wouldn’t hear any other Friday until the end?

This morning my FB timehop showed a post from today in 2014 - D at Chicago unifieds. I Took it right after she finished her audition at her dream school - which is now her Alma Mater. BREAK A LEG to everyone in Chicago !
Safe travels everyone! We’re waiting on closing ceremonies this afternoon at the state thespian festival, and then we’re hitting the road driving to Chicago! I’m hoping to get five hours of driving done tonight, so we can get there earlier tomorrow.

I know a S who received a “no” this past week from Unifieds from Ithaca.
@penny1234 I believe that when my son auditioned at CCM, they said there would be a yes/no but when we drilled down and asked people, they would give you a no, but if you are still in the mix, you will get an email that basically doesn’t tell you anything… or something like that. We got a no, so I don’t know what the other email might look like

Never got an email but never got a no. Confused.
@musicaltheatre77 - so either you’re still in the “mix” or your postal service was delayed (polar vortex?) and there’s snail mail coming. Hang loose and hope for the former!
