@afterp89, would the conflicts with MARCAS be Emerson? We are waiting on them for November 3 as well, so depending on the outcome of that prescreen we might have to miss MARCAS.
@elledaspitzer Well it was my d not me! But I am honestly not sure I am remembering correctly which schools had prescreens, but she auditioned at Syracuse, Ithaca, Indiana, Pace, Roosevelt CCPA, Ball State, Millikin, Wright State, PP, Montclair (also CCM and BW but I know they don’t have prescreens)
@NYKaren - actually it’s for Elon. If she passes prescreen, audition may be Nov 2. Would be tough to get from an audition in North Carolina to New Jersey early the next morning, but we’ll see.
Just heard about a hometown mom whose kid used one of the well known college coaches, and is now acting as a BFA coach themselves. I found that fascinating… guess they are trying to recoup their investment…
@elledaspitzer my D has been accepted to a live audition from her pre-screens at Coastal Carolina, Emerson, Ithaca, Rider, Syracuse. Waiting to hear from Elon, FSU, Shenandoah, and Temple. No pre-screens and has or has already had live auditions set up already with American University, Arcadia, BU, HARTT, JMU, Muhlenberg, Nazareth, PP, Wagner, and WCSU.
@MTVTmom , when did you hear from Coastal Carolina? We submitted our pre-screen on Sept 5 and still have not heard back. I am wondering if I should call them?
@MTVTmom, sounds like we’re almost on the same schedule. We have live auditions set up for Hartt, Nazareth, JMU, FDU, Nazareth, PP, SUNY Cortland, BW, WCSU. Waiting on Emerson, Rider prescreens. I think we should be hearing from Emerson this week, if they are sticking to the 2 week rule. Have a few more to submit to yet…
@MTVTmom I think you should call or email. On their acceptd page it says
“Review of the screening auditions will begin August 20, 2018 and will be closed February 10, 2018. Our campus auditions are slotted for January 19, January 20, February 2 and February 23. Audition slots are on a first come, first served basis and space for those is competitive so we recommend that you submit early. If you have not been notified within two weeks of your video submission please contact the Coordinator of Recruitment, Monica Bell at mbell@coastal.edu.”
@MTlizard I had my D check in with Coastal - they are behind due to the hurricane, but were able to give my D an answer about what the committee had decided and then gave us the formal invite a few days later.
For headshots…color or black/white, or doesn’t matter?
@goldenslipper my daughter submitted her prescreen to Penn last Tuesday or Wednesday and heard back today.

Hi, I’m a senior right now and I’ve been following CC for a while, but I had a question about CCM fees. The handbook says that the conservatory fee is 60$ but when received the confirmation email and logged on to the admissions page it says the fee is 120$. I couldn’t find anywhere in the handbook where they mention the possibility of or a reason for the change and it is the current handbook so I’m just a little confused. Does anyone know anything about this?
Whoops! turns out it was because I accidently had said I wanted to audition for both acting and musical theater. Now to try and figure out how to withdraw from acting…
