BALL STATE UPDATE! Admissions has no idea of what is going on with his MT application.Told him to email the department which he did!
@DramaLlama18 - a parent’s gotta do what a parent’s gotta do. I will admit that I texted HER when NYU decisions were out. I heard about it on CC (I was traveling for business) but she was out with friends and couldn’t immediately check. She drove halfway home and pulled aside in front of a stranger’s house to check Albert. A memorable (and very happy) day.
@mtmom19 I called Ball State MT admissions office on 3/12 to find out how results would be announced and was told they were on spring break last week and are resuming calls (that was Tuesday morning) and that it was a good sign we hadn’t heard anything yet. We would get a call and/or email soon. Finger crossed for all of us still waiting on BSU!!!
Experienced CC MT parents how do we add MT schools to the “big board” of schools? Is it just a matter of starting a thread for that school? Do we have to ask moderators to add a school to the board?
For example, several parents have asked questions here about University of Utah. They wrote back, per below.
“I am in charge of the recruiting for the MTP. I go to all of the Unified auditions and handle the local auditions.
Thank you for being a champion of the program here in Utah. The website has the most concise information for the inquiring student. But, I would be willing to answer questions from the students or parents. MY email is d.schmidt@utah.edu”

Does anyone else find it strange that Ohio gives talent scholarships to kids that were rejected from their BFA ?
@NoMTinMD - re: Ohio U, we were wondering the same thing, my D is WL but received talent scholarship. That would seem to be unusual, especially because we haven’t heard about talent scholarships where she was accepted BFA - academic, yes, but talent no.
@MI3rdClosingAct How does your daughter like it at Western? This one is in-state for us and since we only have a WL from UofM, we would love to keep our D in MI, if we have a choice! It seems like a pretty competitive program though? I wonder how many apply? I don’t remember them doing pre-screens though, which seems like that would be very helpful in such a competitive situation. This is our last audition so I am keeping my fingers crossed! Only 9 more schools to hear from!

@frisbee3 D got a snail mail letter today but it is also on the student portal.
Well just saying if my daughter did get into Ohio, I would ask for a lot more money, because they are offering a lot of money to kids who won’t be attending
My DD waitlisted for Emerson! Ugh! Just when I thought the waiting was soon to be over! It’s her top choice! ?
