Hi. I want to become a Graphic Designer (I’m not great in drawing though lol). But I’ve applied to both The College of Idaho (C of I) as well as Bennington College. C of I has an Art major with a Graphic Design concentration [Art Courses | College of Idaho](http://www.collegeofidaho.edu/academics/departments-and-programs/art/courses) Bennington has Digital Art [Bennington: Courses](http://www.bennington.edu/Academics/AreasStudy/Courses.aspx?dCode=VISART) Curriculum wise I am wondering which school would be better. I feel that Bennington focuses more on Graphic Design and not just Art, but at the same time I think C of I has a nice rounded major which I think would help to make any budding Graphic Designer (GD) more versatile. One thing about Bennington though is that there a short amount of courses, I am wondering if they make up for it with a bunch of liberal arts courses. Curriculum-wise (and overall too) I am wondering which school would be better for me. I am not so so good in Art, but I love graphic design, and I do know the two go together somewhat, but I just wonder which curriculum would suit me better should I get accepted to both and have a choice. Please respond, your input is greatly welcomed! :D

I cannot say anything about the environment, majors etc about those colleges but academically bennington is better by a hair

I would prefer Bennington

My d goes to Bennington. If you are a self-starter and have a lot of initiative, it can be the place for you. You will NOT be handed a list of courses to take. You need to take ownership of your course of study. I would suggest looking at the course lists from the past two terms to see what you might have taken. My d’s roommate is concentrating in animation and has plenty to take. They might not always appear to be graphic design, in your case, but you need to dig a little deeper to see how it would enhance your course of study. If that is appealing to you, Bennington is the school for you.
