A reminder to sports fans…get off the computer, time for the best rivalry in college sports, at least imho—Duke vs UNC basketball! 9PM ESPN. I love these games.

On a somber note, I believe they’re having a moment of silence for Eve Carson.

2331–I am waiting to watch the game, too. I would respectfully change your wording to “the best rivalry in college BASKETBALL.” The Ohio State-Michigan game is the best rivalry in college football–imho, of course! In any case, they are both exciting rivalries!!!

Yep. Been studying since 10 AM… definitely a good day’s worth. Now time to relax and watch the game (and, of course, do some work at the same time).

Sportsmama: Dick Vitale said it tonight actually— this is best college rivalry in all of sports, INCLUDING Michigan-Ohio State football. How can you disagree with DV? ;)

Great game even though the refs decided not to call fouls tonight. Very nice that everyone wore Carolina blue ribbons for Eve…and loved it that our Tar Heels had her name embroidered on their jerseys.

Yes, 2331, I had to chuckle when I heard Dick Vitale say that. I guess we’ll have to agree to disagree–even though DV said it. The once a year meeting for OSU-Michigan seems to make it just a little bit more intense. Again, that’s my opinion–coming from someone who was born and raised in OSU’s backyard. Aren’t college sports great?!

Coach K and his staff let their true colors come through…they were the ONLY people in the house without the Carolina blue ribbons…of course he won’t even refer to UNC by name …called them “our opponent tonite…” Several weeks ago in an interview on ESPN, he said that he had only been in Chapel Hill and or on Franklin Street one time in the 28 years he’s been at Duke when not there for a game.

You have to be kidding? He’d rather spend time in Durham?

Thanks, eadad. Yes, I think that choice the Duke coaching staff made was extremely questionable and amazingly disrespectful. Definitely losers.

It was good to see the Duke students/fans wearing them, though.

^^Did they play a game right after that death? If so, did everyone in the stands and all the players wear ribbons but not the NC coaching staff?
Let’s face it- Coach K blew this one. Even Bobby Knight would have worn the ribbon.
