I would use the $1,000 to pay for student loans when I go to college. I want to go to college for engineering. I come from a low-income family I am trying to get as many scholarships as I can to afford college.
I would use the $1,000 given by The Goals Fund Scholarship to help pay for tuition during my undergraduate program. My ultimate goal is to earn my Doctorate of Pharmacy in order to provide care for low-income families in my community. Receiving this scholarship would be very beneficial in helping achieve my long-term goals.
If I were awarded $1,000, I would put it toward my college tuition. I plan to study Business Management, which can be an expensive major, and I’m relying fully on scholarships to make my dreams happen.
Right now, I’m a rising junior. I know it might sound early to be applying for scholarships, but I’ve learned that the earlier, the better. I’ll be applying to colleges in the fall of 2026, and I want to be as prepared as possible. When I first entered high school, I had no clue what I wanted to study. Everyone around me seemed to have it all figured out – they had their plans and backup plans and were already working towards them. I felt behind.
In the fall of 2023, I started seeing digital marketing pop up a lot on my feed. I wasn’t sure what it was about at first, but I was curious. Over the next year, I found myself more and more drawn to it. By the fall of 2024, I realized what I actually wanted to do: study Business Management and later expand my knowledge into areas like marketing and entrepreneurship.
At first, I’ll admit it was the money that pulled me in. But the more I learned about business, economics, and how things work behind the scenes, the more excited I became. I’ve always loved numbers and math, and business just makes sense to me. I’ve truly fallen in love with it. I’m fully committed to studying business, and I’m ready to work hard for it.
I’m a first-generation college student, and my parents don’t make a lot. Since I was young, I was raised with the mindset that college would only be possible through scholarships. Still, I didn’t take it seriously until April of this year – when it hit me that as the oldest child, I don’t have anyone to figure this out for me. It’s on me.
And I’m ready. I know I’m smart, driven, and determined when I care about something – and I care deeply about this. But the truth is, studying at a good college costs thousands of dollars. I want to graduate debt-free, because I’ve seen how student debt can weigh people down for years. This scholarship would take a huge weight off my shoulders and allow me to focus on doing what I love, which is learning, growing, and chasing my goals.
I would use $1,000 to help pay for my tuition and reduce the financial stress of nursing school.
If I was rewarded the $1,000 I would use it to fund my post-secondary education. I will be attending Stephen F. Austin (SFA) in the fall, and hopefully by next year I would be at my dream University, Colorado State University (CSU). The money would go to my tuition at SFA or CSU, since tuition is a lot for my family because I don’t get that much help from financial aid. This money would help me get my bachelor’s in Pre-Veterinary and set me on track to go to Veterinarian school. Where I can become a Zoologist Veterinarian, that has been my dream ever since I was younger.
I want to help the world progress in technology. I have a passion for programming, and through programming, I will be able to help the world progress in technology. I know 3 programming languages, and I have been helping others with programming as well. This would help me further progress in making a difference in the world by helping me fund my college tuition for my education in my passion, which will help me pursue advancing technology.
With this $1000 scholarship, I will use the money to help push me towards my life goal of becoming a graphic novelist. Going to college will help jump-start me in that direction, so having a thousand dollars will help alleviate the cost.
I’d use this scholarship to help pay for my undergraduate degree in biology. This would help take away some financial pressures and ease some stress!
After my bachelors in Biology, I plan to attend medical school to pursue my dream of becoming a pediatrician to help future generations.
If I received the $1,000 award, I would use it to directly help my studies as a Health Science major. Being accepted into this program is a significant step toward my dream of working in healthcare and enhancing the lives of others through science and service. However, College expenses especially in a health-related field can be quite high.
This scholarship would allow me to pay for important items like textbooks, lab equipment, and online resources that are necessary for my Health Science classes. It would also help cover fees for academic tools and platforms that I need to stay on track. Every dollar would contribute to building a strong foundation in this challenging but fulfilling field. As someone who is determined to succeed despite financial difficulties, this support would not only lighten my load but also inspire me to keep working towards my goal of becoming a Healthcare professional.
This scholarship would help me fund my education and support my future goals. I would like to pursue my master’s degree and potentially higher education, and I am interested in majoring in a STEM field, preferably one that incorporates environmental conservation. I hope to improve our world and also be a positive influence on young women entering STEM fields. I have a huge passion for nature and how I can help the environment, and I hope I can become a credible and respectful person.
If I were to win the scholarship money, I would immediately use it towards applying for colleges. Many people know that apply for college can be an expensive process. And with me wanting to apply to as many as I can the amount can get big. Not only that but as someone who lives low income this scholarship would help tremendously. In addition, with the left over money I would save it for when I begin college to buy necessities.
I would use this scholarship to cover the costs that often hold students back, like tuition, textbooks, and daily school expenses. It would lift a huge weight off my shoulders and let me focus fully on my classes without worrying if I can afford to stay enrolled. Right now, every dollar I earn goes toward helping my family or paying my car note, so this scholarship would finally give me room to breathe. It would allow me to show up to college each day ready to learn and grow instead of feeling like I am fighting just to be there. This support would not only help me financially but remind me that there are people who believe in my goals and want to see me succeed.
If I won the $1,000 I would use the money to pay for out-of-state college at Clark Atlanta, since it is a dream of mine to go to school there and eventually move down there.
I would use this scholarship to pay for several other expenses in college aside from tuition, such as room and board, books, and a meal plan. This will alleviate the stress of my widowed and legally disabled mother, who is severely low-income. This scholarship would make the college experience much easier for me, as I am a first-generation student. I am deeply thankful for the opportunity to apply for this scholarship.
The Goals Fund Scholarship would help me attend pre-college programs in biology and health sciences or pursue volunteer or shadowing opportunities in healthcare. These experiences will only strengthen my ability to be able to participate in cancer research. This will also help my family and myself with funding for my future university, as I plan on heading straight to university after graduation. This scholarship will help tremendously in helping me achieve my goals of making the world a better place.
The $1,000 scholarship would be super helpful in alleviating the stress I’m currently experiencing of making sure I have enough money to be able to finish my last year of college. I would put it towards bills which would help me be more able to focus on my studies instead of worrying about making ends meet.
I would use the money to go toward tuition and towards funding certain volunteer opportunities so that I can build my resume for med school.
I would like to use the money to achieve my dream to become the first person in my family to go to college and graduate with a PhD. I’m planning in majoring in Child development psychology. I’ve always had a passion for psychology, and what the reason is behind why humans are so diverse, personality and behavior wise.
I would use this money to help cover my tuition costs or room and board costs.
